A year spent upside down. Saturday, 24 September 2011. Week Eleven: A week spent waiting. Tuesday was another library day, followed by dinner at Church St (yummy stuffed peppers with feta courtesy of Bram) and the long trek down Darby St to Bar Beach, where Maggi was having a party to bid her farewells before she jets back to Germany. Unfortunately, due to ridiculous bus times and underestimated walking speeds, we could only stay for a little while before heading back home. Boo. Haha well done Australia.

A year spent upside down. Sunday, 20 November 2011. Week nineteen: Oh HEYYY summer! Last week signalled the end of textbooks, library days and essay stresses; this week signalled the start of three whole months of trash literature, beach days and stresses no greater than the choice between a maxibon and a lemon icy pole. Actually, I tell a lie. Monday was a beautiful day for the beach, but I'm pretty sure I covered that in last week's late blog post, so I'll skip to Tuesday. On the way to dinner :).

Last week we drove out to an old pick-your-own blueberry patch that we’ve been going to for the last fifteen years. It’s probably one of our oldest yearly traditions. Adalia did a lovely job of helping us while we picked, mostly by keeping herself happily occupied and munching away. Shady tunnels through the bushes provided a cool respite from the blazing sun. Most of the berries we picked were on the ginormous side. (I don’t have tiny hands, by the way). This place holds so many wonderful memories.
