Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Coconut Lime Sour Bars. I am sharing the recipe from the Barn House. Bake contest. I won first place! Coconut Lime Sour Bars. 1 stick plus 2 1/2 T butter. Mash together (dry, but holds together). Pour into 13x9 baking dish. Press into pan as evenly as possible. Bake at 350 degrees for minutes. 1 C chopped almonds. 3 C coconut flakes. 1 1/2 C brown sugar. Mix and spread over hot baked crust. Bake 30 more minutes. 4 T lime juice (2 limes). 1 1/2 C powder sugar. 2 tsp lime zest.

Friday, September 26, 2008. New addition to the family! Wednesday morning Zoe and Zeb are off to school, so Hattie and I head out to my friend Joe's. We get out of the car and Joe comes over with "something" for Hattie. A mouse he caught in the barn! You would THINK that Hattie would not get near it! She is the one that cries if you kill a spider, or screams at you if you squish any kind of bug because they are her friends. "Mommy, can I keep it? Joe says he caught it just for her! Well he is kinda cute!

Monday, December 21, 2009. Again a long time no post! So its the holiday season! And i can not wait! School is out and Christmas is in 4 days! I got mostly everyone a Christmas present! I spent all of my money, all 140! Now I am broke, so if you want to go to the movies, I can't, you want to go shopping, I can't, but I can hang out! Wednesday, August 20, 2008. First Day of School! Mallory 6th Grade-Lookin Hip! She didn't want to take a pic, but I said I would come to her class and take one if she didn't let me take it. That seemed to do the trick! Sydney 4th grade-Sassy as ever! She was excited to go to school and see all her friends- The only one who said I could walk with her! Halle 2nd Grade- Cute new do and ready to go! Her teachers name was Brittney Brown before she got married over the summer! I love you guys! He is so funny!

We have been super busy this summer with buying a new house. which is really an old house, fixing it up how we like it, keeping the kids entertained, flea markets, AND baking now!
