Monday, 17 November 2014. November Garment of the Month: November Nights. Pattern Review: McCalls 6489 and #MMMPR! It looks as though I am catching onto sewing my monthly garments along with the themes. For this month I picked out this very Autumnal/Winter fabric from my stash and paired it with McCalls 6489. Now OOP). It was also my first garment worn for Me Made Mondays. For the rest of 2014. I am on a learning curve with elasticated waist patterns as I have had this problem before. What handmade items...

V8888: The Charmeuse before the Storm. Oh it feels so GOOD to be back! We’ve been back from honeymoon for a while now, and since then I’ve been doing a lot of nothing, some cooking and baking, obsessively stalking ValeyofDolls. On instagram and even doing a little bit of sewing. So prepare yourselves for a wedding blog post extravaganza, but first – a little sewing that helped me keep my (in)sanity throughout the last six months. Well, five of them actually. These robes are from Vogue 8888. Vogue’s...

Helter Skelter Dress – pattern scissors cloth

Tricks of the Trade. Viscose helps too – being cool to the touch I find it one of the most comfortable fibres to wear in our humid summers. This was a viscose challis that I scored for $12 at the Moa fabric clearance. Last year. The print reminds me of helter skelters. 8211; do you remember them? What collar you say? Hidden by my hair in almost every photo except this windblown one is a stand collar, which is cut on the bias so it rolls nicely around the neckline. I will try and remember to put a hook an...

all dressed up and nowhere to go: Elizabeth II
http://nattyjanesews.blogspot.com/2013/05/elizabeth-ii.html
Sunday, May 12, 2013. Trips to the fabric store are mostly for zippers and thread since I have a pretty big fabric stash that needs attention. However, my favorite local shop keeps bringing in woven fabrics that I just can't resist! After buying a few yards of this gorgeous stuff, I decided to create another variation of the Elizabeth Gathered Waist Dress. From BurdaStyle's Sewing Vintage Modern. Remember the first one I made? May 12, 2013 at 12:40 PM. So cute. love the fabric. May 12, 2013 at 2:10 PM.

Tasha Sews: April 2015
http://tashsews.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Friday, 3 April 2015. Long time no blog! Pattern Review: Vogue 8870. I overcame my lack of sewing mojo in the past month, but it looks as though my blog has been a bit neglected. I am all finished with my March garment of the month, but I haven't had a chance to photograph it yet. To tie you guys over here is an oldie that is yet to make it to the blog. It's a modified version of Vogue 8870. I have previously made this pattern here. And as you can see the bodice is tad more blouson. For this version ...
