Sunday, July 15, 2012. And now he's 2. So we had a little birthday party in midway. He was super excited. I whipped up this little fudge mint cake from scratch. no big deal. That might not be entirely true. i mean i live right by a schmidt's bakery. And they make good cakes, so why try.}. Cutest little monkeys in the world. Yep, he got a rifle. I'm pretty sure i'm already losing the 'charlie's not gonna be a hunter too' battle. But truthfully, i'm not fighting very hard. I think it's inevitable.

Friday, December 7, 2012. Grandpa in the sky. For thanksgiving {a lovely event of which i took zero photos}. We all headed to st. george, then henderson. And in vegas that weekend my 82 year old grandpa went skydiving. Because he's just amazing like that. Lots of cousins, aunts and uncles came out to support. Charlie was deeply impressed. Such an inspiration. 82 years old, still loving life and living it to the fullest. Glad to see Grandpa at 82 made the jump and was safe! December 10, 2012 at 6:52 PM.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Louisville, kentucky is cool. Like a 1920's southern glamour kind of cool. Being there felt kinda like going back in time. i kept picturing myself wearing big hats and fancy dresses at the kentucky derby and going to dinner and dancing at the brown hotel and baseball games at slugger field. And i liked it all. a lot. And in real life, rob did the louisville ironman and finished 10th in his age division. And he even got a flat tire on the ride}. And my favorite travel buddy.

Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Gingerbread houses with the grands. Bedtime cuddles and christmas songs. Merry christmas loves for great papa johnson. The santa visit. charlie's a fan. It's the most wonderful time of the year. And it just never lasts long enough. Glad youre taking care of Grandpa Kent on his Jan. 9th birthday! We were so happy when he came to us 61 years ago!
