Stranger in a Strange Land: October 2011

http://lizlivesoz.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Stranger in a Strange Land. My journey to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia. Friday, October 7, 2011. SaeLao Project, Nathong Village. For the past month I have been volunteering at Saelao Project and having a wonderful time. Last weekend I went to Vientiane, the capital, and then crossed the border into Thailand just to come back again and get a new Laos visa. I now have another month before having to do the same thing again (why isn't there a multiple-month visa? Our days are filled by:.

Stranger in a Strange Land: August 2010

Stranger in a Strange Land. My journey to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia. Friday, August 13, 2010. Now, some random cultural differences I have found to be interesting:. It is illegal to not vote in Australia, and you can be fined about US$100 if you don't vote. You have to flag down busses, otherwise they may not stop. Street signs are not on every block (this has caused me much confusion). Use of the 'n' word is not uncommon among people my age. Comments, questions, feel free!

Stranger in a Strange Land. My journey to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. October and November [Day 152]. As always, apologizes for being such a terrible blogger. The past two months have flown by, and internet has been quite sketchy along the way. Despite working so much for the past two months, I have gotten a few opportunities to do some special things that deserve noting. There are many plans going through my head as to when I will leave Sydney and wher...

Stranger in a Strange Land: February 2011

http://lizlivesoz.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Stranger in a Strange Land. My journey to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, New Zealand and Australia. Friday, February 4, 2011. Off to Cairns [Day 220]. Traveling is about to begin. Last Monday the company that runs the pub I've been working at had a massive 800 person staff party. It was on the rooftop of the Swiss Grand Hotel, overlooking Bondi Beach. It was a nice sunny day and there was a pool and free-flowing alcohol. I had an awesome time, it was a great way to say goodbye to my workmates.

Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.". The first steps - take two large roasts and cover with water. Add garlic, salt and pepper - bring to a boil and then simmer covered for several hours until the meat is tender. You will probably have to add water to keep the meat covered and to prevent it drying out. Once the meat is cooked, drain off the liquid, let the meat cool and shred into bite sized pieces.
