Friday, May 27, 2011. This week we discovered that our Lima Bean plants really DO grow! Each child has been recording the day their seed sprouted roots or grew a stem. Now some children's plants even have leaves! I wish I had a photo to share, but stop by our windows and check them out. Dislikes: Napping in his crib, hunger, not drooling, sleeping in. New skills: sitting up, rolling over, thumb sucking, riding on daddy's shoulders, giggling. From Space Shuttles in the sky and Cindy Lauper dance parties to learning about conflict resolution and the fall, it is hard to believe it has only been a week since my last post! These girls have been busy! We have just finished up with our introduction to, and exploration of, our classroom. The girls have worked together to create our Classroom Responsibilities (our version of classroom rules) and are currently using a method called Sharing the Pen.

36 hours of travel and. I have finally made it to Africa! The trip here ended with what was supposed to be an 8 hour flight direct from Amsterdam to Kilimanjaro, but instead turned out to be a 16 hour flight from Amsterdam to Nairobi, Kenya to Dar es Salaam then finally to Kilimanjaro. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Head To Toe. Here We Go! Head To Toe. Here We Go! On Friday, Brian joined us to read Head To Toe. By Eric Carle. After his wonderful reading we learned all about how Eric Carle made this book. The children enjoyed a good giggle when they learned that if all began in a Dummy Book. To learn more, click here.
