Thursday, October 30, 2014. Anyway, she got Les in a chair but his blood pressure dropped, he got very dizzy and light headed. Right about then, 8 people showed up in the room to discuss Les (just like on Grey's Anatomy! It was a little crazy for awhile, and Les was not feeling well at all. PT disappeared so the charge nurse had to come help get him back in bed. The docs all thought Les was doing great. He was wondering about feeding, so they said they ordered his nutrition. He needs a good night of rest...

Saturday, January 24, 2015. This week Wednesday Les had another 3 month checkup at UW. These appointments don't tell us anything that we don't already know; as Les likes to say "I still have ALS and I'm still deteriorating." But it's nice to check in and visit with our "friends". We almost missed nurse Jen - but the receptionist made us wait as we were leaving and we ended our day with a nice chat with Jen. Friday, August 28, 2015. Our first grandaughter has arrived. Dallas Joy. Grandpa Les wasn't able to get to the hospital to meet her, so Kris and Hannah graciously stopped by our house on their way home. We are so grateful they took the time and effort to do that. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. This is a nasty disease. It just plain sucks. We are progressing into a not-so-very-fun stage. When this disease began we thought, Well Les is slurring his words a bit - we can handle that! When he could barely talk we thought, Well, he can still talk with texting and we can understand some words. At least he is mobile and very active! After a flight to the Midwest that was unworthy of a blog post, I found myself becoming one with the bed in the spare bedroom. For the entire first week I was visiting.
