The Welsh are super friendly people. They were very helpful giving us directions when the phone battery ran out, leaving us without GPS. Journal of summer 2010 trip to England, Wales and Ireland. Friday, July 2, 2010. On Friday, July 2nd, Lori and Steve left their London hotel, and headed out to Windsor. A subway ride to Paddington station, then a train to Slough and a transfer to Eton/Windsor. All in the heat, humidity, and lack of rain that locals say will break all records for the summer. Journal of summer 2010 trip to England, Wales and Ireland. Sunday, July 11, 2010. We are having great days with Robbyn and Cathy. Yesterday Cathy took Karissa to the shops, "Help us and save us." Tomorrow Cathy is taking us to Bunratty Castle, then on to Killarney the following day, where we have arranged bus tours of Dingle and the Ring of Kerry.
