In this program, students work in a Geraldton School with children in groups or individually. You will be expected to work alongside teachers and other Allied Health students to support early childhood education and development, as well as key skills in early literacy. This program will enable you to contrast your placement period spent working with the remote school of Mt Magnet (or vice versa) and challenge your ability to adapt your work and skills. Being away from home can add other issues that students have to get used to on a clinical placement. WACRH has a dedicated Student Support Officer who is available to students who might want to talk to someone other than their clinical supervisor.
