Welcome to Room 3's Blog. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Term 2 Week 3. Somehow, it is already Week 3! We have been very busy in Room 3, getting lots of work done. We are looking at Measurement in maths- how we measure and the units we use (mm, cm, m, km). The kids are getting much better at estimating lengths and measuring after to see how close their estimates were. For Topic, we are learning about how we keep ourselves healthy. We have started by looking at food, what is in it and the good old Food Pyramid.

I am not sure where the weeks have gone, but I am sure that the kids have made some big strides already and are well placed to have a terrific year. Thursday, September 4, 2014. Geometry in Room 5. We have been learning how to measure area and perimeter of house designs. First the students had to design a plan of their house in their mathematics books. Then they had to build each others house using multi - link blocks following their design and measurements.
