http://babyprestonjaymes.blogspot.com/2010/06/someone-turned-33.html
Preston and Ashten's World. Saturday, June 26, 2010. Someone turned 33, but were not telling who! We started the big 33 celebration at the house with some drinks and cake with our neighbors.Unfortunately a huge storm blew in and the power went out- thank goodness for the 33 candles! The next day we woke up quite early (ie Mom woke up quite early) to pack the car for a family celebration in Omaha, NE to visit the amazing zoo and stay and the infamous CocoKeys Water Resort. And a little playing in the crib!

Horton Family: March 2009
http://charlesandnanthida.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 03, 2009. After some gentle reminders that it's not the New Year anymore, I decided that for posterity sake it's probably a good idea to update (after all, this blog is the lazy man's baby book). Let's see, what have we been up to? Here are the girls at Sam's Club. We love that place for three big reasons: 1) Double seating shopping carts, 2) Huge bags of precooked bacon for $6, and 3) Saturday morning samples! 160;Nice face, huh? 160;Another bird that chirps! 160;Give it's belly a sque...

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Links to this post. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. One post per season, apparently. Sooooo, let me just go out on a limb here and say that I do not win any gold stars for blogging or picture taking. What I do get an award for is getting these pictures in chronological order, the first time around. So, yay me! This is what Charles and I call the "typical Zoe face". When she smiles, boy does she smile! What is wrong with people? This the end of July. I was told the my placent...

Horton Family: February 2008
http://charlesandnanthida.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. Let me preface this post by stating: I have been threatened bodily harm by numerous people (who shall remain anonymous) to update. Yes, it have been a while, but in my defense, I am nine months pregnant. So there. I never, ever carry my camera around, so I have been begging anyone and everyone to send me pictures. My pleas were heard by my good friend Lacy. Aside from the last two pictures, she supplied the rest. So, those of you rejoicing in this new post, thank her. After mos...

Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Easter Sunday started innocent enough - here is Lucy all prettied up to go to church and hunting for eggs:. Although they were empty, it did not take away from the fun. We went into the hospital early the next morning for an induction - here is mom upon arrival. Believe me, that smile would not last very long. Can you guess how big the baby is? After about 12 hours, we welcomed a new family member. Below are some quick photos of Zophia (Zoe) Lanxang Horton. Links to this post.

Horton Family: December 2009
http://charlesandnanthida.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 11, 2009. Three weeks ago this is where we were. Less than twelve hours, three blown IVs, and a crap load of pitocin later, I finally got me meet my sweet little girl. Here's Daddy getting to hold his daughter for the first time. And while we're here, let me give a huge shout out to my husband. Not only does he work ten to eleven hour days five days a week, but when he comes home he is Super Dad. You can't see it here, but Vivienne surprised all of us by not. Due to H1N1, no children wer...

Tuesday, May 26, 2009. They do make a Mama proud. Links to this post. They call me " the Referee". It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. On the other hand, there's our little Zohan. She has a love affair with the camera. She loves to have her picture taken and she loves to help take pictures. My two polar opposites. On a side note, this little one started walking a few weeks ago. She's big stuff now. On an end note, some of you know, some of you don't, we got new cars! We also traded in th...

Horton Family: August 2008
http://charlesandnanthida.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2008. My big girl turned two yesterday. We celebrated with Domino's deep dish (Lucy's favorite) and finished it off with a double decker chocolate fudge cake! Counting the candles. Yep, there are two! We love you Lucy, and we have loved every moment we've gotten to spend being your parents. Thank you for blessing us and enriching our lives. Links to this post. We finally got to see Amy, Adam, and the babies. They were so sweet and cute and cuddly! Me and my bestest buddy. The cousins...

Horton Family: May 2008

Thursday, May 22, 2008. Thinking of a title is hard work. Enough tooting my own horn. Onto the stuff you're here for: pictures. Our family picture. Doesn't Adam look deceptively tall? What you can't see in this picture is the very prominent double chin and mammoth pot belly. It translates much better in person. Today at the dentist someone emphatically stated, "Oh my, what a healthy baby! Emphasis on the healthy part. Yeah, we get that a lot and yes, we know. Links to this post. Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Horton Family: June 2008
http://charlesandnanthida.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2008. Summer has officially begun, so we have been spending as much time playing outside as we can. Lucy's favorite toy of the season? The $1 inflatable pool ball from Dollar General. It will only be a matter of time before she realizes there are many more toys out there; toys with gadgets, and buttons, and wheels, so believe me when I say I am taking full advantage of the fact she is so easily and affordably amused. Unlike most children her age, Lucy prefers to run away from her friends.
