Friday, March 27, 2015. Spring: Goose Stands Guard. Even though we were all the way across the lake from this goose, it made sure we knew it saw us and would protect its nest. I suspect the next time we walk along this path we'll see the goose with its mate and a bunch of goslings. Posted by Aunt Louise. Thursday, March 26, 2015. http://louwynn.blogspot.com/2015/08/oh-okay-here-are-some-of-people.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Oh, Okay, Here Are Some of the People. Also in no particular order). Trying to get some of those beautiful and weird fruits down from a tree. Eventually we gave up with the baseball bat idea and tried the baseball pitching idea. But that didn't work, either. Termite mounds, not just taller than this almost-10-year-old boy, but taller than any adult for miles around. Lisa said, "Oh! And started running . toward the area the guy pointed out. Aunt Louise: July 2015
http://louwynn.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. More from that First Morning in NSW. Our hike at Royal National Park near Sydney was so beautiful. It was a huge relief to be walking in the sun and breeze after coming from a hot and dry summer in the PNW; in fact, it was hard to believe it was winter there. Anyway, we went through a lot of brush where we saw tons of birds that we first thought must be Willie Wagtails but later discovered some of them at least to be New Holland Honeyeaters. Sometime within the next 10 years.

Training - - Aunt Louise. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. First Ride of 2015. Last Saturday. (Not for Jason, bur for me.) Training - - Aunt Louise. Monday, April 28, 2014. How time flies, whether you're having fun or not! Here's this week's goal:. Continue Week 4 habits. Add: Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. However, since some people find it hard to drink that much water, you could change this to fit YOUR MAXIMUM healthy amount. Should be easy, right? Thursday, April 24, 2014. Another thought about the Hop Hop Half I ran (jogged/walked/slogged/sprinted) in last Saturday:. What happened, you ask? And of course, th...

Training - - Aunt Louise. Monday, March 31, 2014. More About The Spring Classic Duathlon. I was amazed at the acrazing people. At the Spring Classic Duathlon. While I was setting up my bike before the race, some guy was talking to a woman while they were both setting up their bikes. They had been in triathlons and duathlons before and knew each other. I started paying attention when he said, "Yeah, I took a bad fall, went over my handlebars.". She said, "Oh, no, when did you do that? She smiled and shook...

Training - - Aunt Louise. Friday, February 20, 2015. People (North Americans) seem to think you need to eat a lot of meat to be healthy and strong. Of course we get those ideas through years of unwittingly being on the receiving end of huge billion-dollar marketing and lobbying campaigns by the meat industry. A program followed by our friend Rick, whom we met our first year at Reach the Beach. Here's the official Forks Over Knives Web site. Here's the Web site of another vegan body builder. Training - - Aunt Louise. Monday, July 28, 2014. Tour de France: All Those Falls. Here's an interesting story:. When those Tour de France riders crash and fall, they're getting injured more than in the past, and it's because their bikes are made of all carbon. It's lightweight, but it's brittle, too. Crashes in the Tour de France often send riders hurling to the road because carbon-fiber frames and wheels tend to break. And check out this section, about how light these bikes can get:. But as I watched th...
