Ramblings-on from a farm wife in rural southwest Idaho. Saturday, July 04, 2009. Update in Pictures #3. These loaded in a backward order of how I wanted them. So I'll go through one by one. Is inside of greenhouse. Is view from the wash pen to the side of the barn and end of greenhouse. Craig has planted grass, but it wasn't warm enough - so he's planted more grass to fill in. We'll mow this grass and feed it to the chickens. Also helps with weeds and soil erosion. Is another view of the wash pen.

Notice the beginning of the siding on the gabled end that butts up to the warehouse (click on the photo to get a larger pic to look at). View, from the roof of our house, of the entire greenhouse complex. Talk about prudent use of space! Are you using panels or pulling plastic for the greenhouse roof?

The torch has been passed.and he lasted maybe one second before he hit the dirt. Oy gevalt, he hit his tuches, but at least no loch in kop. (I don't know why I just went Yiddish on you all.) Anyway, maybe we'll get lucky and he won't want to try it again. Awful cute in the cowboy getup, though. The kids watched Mack and felt all nostalgic. Aw Thats so stinkin sweet.

Here's Mack at the Canyon County Fair, sprucing up his steer for showing in Quality. His first time showing a steer. Mack at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds with his blue ribbon pig. My Little Corner of the World. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Being that #2 is such an animal lover, we have contemplated acquiring a new four-legged friend of the canine variety. And last Friday we found this cutie at the animal shelter. And, since she was on sale (did you know that shelters sometimes have specials on certain breeds? We couldn't pass her up. My Little Corner of the World. Wednesday, May 06, 2009. A family yard day. Our first 70 degree day came along and we had the bug to work outside. It ended up being "clean out the waterfall" day. 1 used some mud to look like a professional NFL player. He's going to play football for the first time in September. These are what we call "Pake Toes" in our family. Like fat little sausages. I hate my feet. Notice the mud, though? I was working hard! A well placed arm. Can't wait for pool season here in Idaho!

We hosted our company's Christmas party here on Saturday night.we had a bout 26 people and it was nice. It also forced me to finish up the Christmas decorations early this year!
