Wallflower / Joseph Dunphy's blog. Low key exploration of Chicago in real time. Shhhh . it's a secret. Somebody at Six Apart ghostwrote that first post for me, and he might have gotten a little careless. I think some other people might have had the very same post on their blogs, too! Great, and Im going to be looking into the possibility of getting some sort of automati...

What's been your biggest influence in making you a better writer? No one single influence, and I'm sure that I'll neglect to mention a few that will seem so obvious to me later, but a few that come to mind are:. Writing, in one sense or another, the sense depending on the genre, should be about telling the tru...

Party of One / Livejournal Notes. 07:02 pm June 23rd, 2011. Writer's Block: Entertainment: Paparazzi. Have you ever taken a photo of a celebrity? That depends on what you mean by a celebrity. If you mean the sort of but not entirely famous people who play in concerts and at festivals in Chicago, that one can get into for relatively little, then the answer is yes, because I have taken shots of the stage, before, and will do so, again. Why not? What do you have to say? Or sign up for e-mail updates here.

Party of One / Livejournal Notes. 07:35 pm June 23rd, 2011. Writer's Block: Small Business: My Own Business. Small Business: My Own Business. If you could start your own business, what would it be? An electronics manufacturing firm, probably a small R and D firm, with a very simple dress code - suits and ties are never to be worn. Seriously - ties are a safety hazard in a lab or a factory. I'm amazed at how many managers seem to have problems understanding that. What do you have to say? My events on Upco...
