We applied for, and received, a grant from the B.C. government and Fortis BC to be part of their Super-Efficient New Construction. Initiative. The grant allowed us to build a family triplex to Passive House. We chose to use environmentally friendly and recyclable finishes wherever possible. Local fir flooring was used throughout Bedford RoadHouse, and cabinets were custom made out of baltic birch by a local cabinet maker. We opted for light and dark grey tiles to complement the modern lines and fixtures that were used throughout. The large amount of wood keeps things warm and inviting.
