The periodic adventures of a regular family from Central Massachusetts trying to eat sustainably-grown, locally-sourced food. Sunday, March 25, 2012. Now is the time of year when I can really believe that spring is here. Never mind the summer-like weather we had last week- it's time to order tomato seedlings from Verrill Farm. The deadline to order is April 2nd, so I'm actually a week early this time. I say this every year, but this year it will happen: my garden is going to kick ass! This is the blog th...
local grub: July 2011
http://localgrub.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
The periodic adventures of a regular family from Central Massachusetts trying to eat sustainably-grown, locally-sourced food. Thursday, July 21, 2011. Cherry tomatoes from my garden! This is one of those foods that taste best when actually eaten in. The garden. In our house, they rarely make it inside. If you want to eat them, you just go outside and pick yourself a snack. I don't have a good setup to start things early from seed, so I get my tomato seedlings from Verrill Farm. Saturday, July 2, 2011.

about localgrub
http://www.localgrub.org/about.html
About the localgrub project. This project was started as a resource for people to find local agricultural products in Central Massachusetts. Why? Having lived in the Happy Valley (ok, the Pioneer Valley) for many years, I was spoiled by the high visibilty that local food has out there. So, I thought I'd cobble something together for my neck of the woods. Although, not quite as fancy, since I do have a family and full-time job. and friends. and hobbies. Since this is a one-woman effort- well, me and whate...

Looking to eat more locally in Central Massachusetts? You've come to the right place! The localgrub project is a directory of locally-grown and locally-produced food in Central Massachusetts. Although, at the moment, you'll notice that none of the links on the "find some localgrub" pages work. I'm still building all the data/software behind the site.
