Software maker, coffee drinker, professional know-it-all. I’ve been playing around with React Native. An offshoot of Facebook’s React JS framework for native iOS development. It’s nice. React has its own HTML-like syntax for defining UI view hierarchies, and if you change your application state it takes care of redrawing the UI to reflect the change. And because the whole view hierarchy and. The state it’s presenting are managed by the React framework, these changes happen extremely.

Software maker, coffee drinker, professional know-it-all. Ben Thompson makes a really good point in today’s Stratechery Daily Update. Paywall’d) about Tim Cook’s privacy stance, and his comments about Google’s business model. That I previously and half-jokingly described as “throwing shade”. Second, Google and Facebook are highly motivated to protect user information. In fact, should Google or Facebook decide to sell your data, the value of each company would fall through the floor! Software maker, coffee drinker, professional know-it-all. We believe the customer should be in control of their own information. You might like these so-called free services, but we don’t think they’re worth having your email, your search history * and now even your family photos* data mined and sold off for god knows what advertising purpose. And we think some day, customers will see this for what it is. Tim Cook throws some serious shade about Google Photos. 2010 2016 David Demaree.
David Demaree — Adobe Audio White Papers for Marketing

Software maker, coffee drinker, professional know-it-all. Adobe Audio White Papers for Marketing ». I don’t understand many of Adobe’s digital marketing products, but I’m embarrassed to admit I sometimes love. How we market our digital marketing products, which manages to bring a wry, funny voice to a business that usually manages dad jokes at best. Here, Adobe has spent money hiring actors like Malcolm McDowell to read marketing white papers, so you don’t have to. 2010 2016 David Demaree.

They reversed the direction of mouse scrolling! But really, they needed to. With Lion, Apple is trying to change the user experience metaphor that has governed OS design since the 80s. It was a symbolic move, but one, to me, that ties together the new interaction paradigm — you interact with the content, not the OS. Larr; Post anterior.

We’re at the start of a conversation of what our post-post-PC’s are going to look like. Google tried mansplaining a loud “ACTUALLY” with Glass, Microsoft showed up in dad jeans. And a Member’s Only Jacket. Apple’s introduction is, naturally, more elegant, a suggestive but unforgettable touch on the wrist. With the obvious pride in the craftsmanship and the refinement of the actual object, not just the ideas behind the glass and multitouch. Apple believes,. That they’ve embraced fashion is something...

American Drink

One thing this country has always enjoyed is a good drink. Whether it was rum on the Atlantic, bourbon at the races or that Bloody Mary at Sunday Brunch, alcohol is the American Drink. Craft distillers not only need to be knowledgeable in such arcane matters as the esoteric habits of yeast and the miraculous properties of copper; they also must be deft in navigating the complex regulatory geography. (As I once heard a tour guide at the Wild Turkey distillery explain: “How do you make bourbon?

Log : Dhiya Faris. Tips For Making Money On Facebook. January 10, 2015. When you start talking about “making money” on Facebook, some people may think you are talking about some kind of scam. But, while money-making scams abound on the internet, Facebook does offer legitimate ways to make money. It is a learning process, and no one says it will be an easy road! But that is what differentiates Facebook from a scam – scams are too easy; they promise much for very little. March 22, 2013. January 12, 2013.
