The Life of Young Fences. The people who love them, the materials that create them, and posts that keep them standing. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Fi says Fi. :-). After many efforts of mama telling Fiona her name, she finally has grasped it. No thanks to ma or pop. One of her friends, AAAH (as she calls him) kept saying Fi! To her her and so she started repeating it back to him. They would look at each other a scream Fi! If you miss it here, it is also up under links on the right (I want to start my da...

The Life of Young Fences. The people who love them, the materials that create them, and posts that keep them standing. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Well, I'm back (Daddy Fence, that is), attempting to fill in the large shoes (metaphorically speaking, of course) of our esteemed author. Fiona is still very cute and happy. The house is coming along nicely, and we've had our hands full trying to find a place for everything (I keep suggesting the garbage, but I digress.). Move Day minus 4-8 days: While we were...

I guess she does take after me in ways. However, not in the PJ department - man, I guess I got dressed for sleeping in the dark. Or at least that's my story and I am sticking to it. Life in the ADHD Lane: September 2011
http://lifeintheadhdlane.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Life in the ADHD Lane. It's so much more than fast. Friday, September 9, 2011. You would think that after 10 years, my emotions would not still be so raw when I think back to that time. But for me, and for my little man, that time is bound by work, motherhood, jet lag, boxes, exhaustion, and yes, pure, raw emotion. The rest of that night is pretty much a blur. I still did not unpack – but I also. Orphanage #1, Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. Home, Virginia, USA. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). From ...

Life in the ADHD Lane: February 2011
http://lifeintheadhdlane.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Life in the ADHD Lane. It's so much more than fast. Saturday, February 26, 2011. Another of life's little lessons. Little man N played guitar in a school concert for the first time today – and I missed it. In the world of twice exceptional, ADHD, co-morbid alphabet soup of diagnoses, missing the fun moments makes me really sad because the not-so-fun moments tend to take center stage. But as is often the case, N taught me yet another of life’s little lessons. But that’s a different story! 8221; “No,...

Life in the ADHD Lane: March 2011

Life in the ADHD Lane. It's so much more than fast. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Will I always be this way? I have been listening to and reading the online responses to last night’s episode of Parenthood which caused the special needs communities to be all a twitter today. Whether or not it was a perfect representation of what it’s like for a child to learn he has Asperger’s I leave to others to decide – but it spoke to me. But for some reason, I was totally shying away from talking to him about his ADHD.

A little piece of humor in our insane middle of moving and sleepy world. Posted by YF @ 7:29 AM. Links to this post. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Work or Pool, who can decide? Does anyone remember those days in elementary school when you had a seat by the window and would stare out at the playground and dream about getting out. She also ...
