What do you get if you flick through a Physics GCSE text book and jab your finger at page 243? Sunday, 21 October 2007. After several weeks of solid A-level work, I am glad to be taking a week off from college to escape to North Wales for a few days. I will report back on my findings (probably involving sheep and rain) next week. Until then, feel free to have a browse through some of the older posts. How can I know what I think until I see what I say? Sapporo, day 6. On the sixth day, some of my Japanese friends who had joined us in Sapporo left to go back to their schools and jobs. The rest of the team split up to do some sightseeing, and I joined a group of twelve who went to visit some museums and hot springs. This is a statue at the entrance to the Ainu village. This stone marker was near a volcanic cauldron-like crater on one of the trails. The posts were scatterd around the park. I didn't take ...

http://vibrantsilence.blogspot.com/2007/08/story-so-far.html

This is largely because I just got internet access back in my room after several days of network problems that were annoyingly reminiscent of last semester. Otherwise classes have been pretty good so far. A brief overview:. And make an effort to use the Japanese ones.". Student - "It's a bunch of triangles put next to each other.".

How can I know what I think until I see what I say? This makes my day. I found a carton of concentrate for Calpis. Water at an oriental food store in town. It was one of my addictions in Japan, and now in the U.S. as well. I can't wait to try it here, even though it probably won't taste. The same as when a convenience store clerk hands it to you in a plastic bag with a polite bow and a cheerful "Arigatou gozaimas! It's still really, really good. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How can I know what I think until I see what I say? In 1987 (the year you were born). Ronald Reagan is president of the US. Wall Street crashes sending the Dow Jones Industrial average down 22.6%. President Reagan and Soviet Leader Gorbachev sign an unprecedented missile reduction agreement. Televangelist Jim Bakker resigns amid accusations of sexual infidelity and financial impropriety. Wall Street financier Ivan Boesky is sentenced to three years in prison in an insider trading scandal. Of course there...

Eventually, after paying 60p just to take a Goddamn piss (the...

How can I know what I think until I see what I say? Last weekend was the Japanese festival at my school. Japanese student groups (including my Yosakoi group), students in Japanese classes and the community came together for the festival, which turned out to be a lot of fun. A lot of preparation including advertising, setup and performance practices paid off. Here is a giant fan with the word "matsuri," or "festival" written in Kanji. It was set up by the registration table. This is another tricky game...
