With a little help from my friends. Thursday, 27 January 2011. As soon as the Christmas holidays were over a very nice man from Rentokil came and inspected our new house. You've got woodworm - we know that - and weevils in the floor in the bathroom - arghh - and wet rot - well that was obvious - and when the wet rot dries out it will turn into dry rot - oh dear. Its all fixable so no worries there :-). First of all chip off all the wet plaster and remove all the wet plasterboard:. View my complete profile.

With a little help from my friends. Sunday, 13 February 2011. Where's the bathroom gone. Iain popped in for a few hours on Tuesday and the bathroom disappeared. O there's the bath. These two guys repaired the roughcast and redid the cement finish below floor level. It looks a lot neater. When the boys came with their invoice Colin told me Jamie was brought up in this house - so I had to invite them in to look round. Jamie in his old room! I'll let them come back when its finished. With a little help from my friends. Monday, 20 December 2010. On December 10 last year - my birthday - we took the keys for our new house. Not to live in, but a little project to keep me occupied - as if I didn't have enough to do. Overgrown trees and tarpaulin hoping to keep the rain out! Woodworm in the bathroom floor! Someone has started to remodel the entrance hall. On the plus side there is cavity wall insulation and double glazing throughout. Extra glass wool layers too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

It's been a flowery week - not just in my crafting world - i've also had a snowdrop in my garden, just the one, the others I planted back in October refused to produce flowers. Spring is finally on it's way. Made using a variety of felted woolen jumpers and scarves. Put your woolens on a hot wash and hey presto they've shrunk and felted.
