Jon and Lois: Manic Monday
http://loisandjon.blogspot.com/2012/03/manic-monday.html
Livin' La Vida NashVegas. Monday, March 12, 2012. Guess who parked in their new garage today? My brilliant husband programmed my car's internal garage door opener (which is good since we only bought one opener, ha). Tomorrow is the electrical inspection. After that happens, the electrician can fill the trench in the yard and we should be just about done. The gutters and a few other things need to happen, but that's it! March 13, 2012 at 9:59 AM. I want that in green as well.love you both. Grand Cayman, GC.
Jon and Lois: Lighting
http://loisandjon.blogspot.com/2012/03/lighting.html
Livin' La Vida NashVegas. Sunday, March 11, 2012. This morning we purchased all the lights for the garage, which included several fluorescents inside (boring), two motion lights on each side (alley side and house side), and then a cute light next to the "man door" (below). I think it looks like a cool old lantern. It makes me want to get new light fixtures for our house, though one at a time - those things are pricey! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jon and Lois: In the Trenches
http://loisandjon.blogspot.com/2012/03/in-trenches.html
Livin' La Vida NashVegas. Thursday, March 15, 2012. Part of what the electrical inspector required is for cement to be placed in some parts of the trench by our house. I have no idea why, but here is it. This morning the electrician and his team worked on filling it with cement and re-filling the rest of the trench with dirt. It's coming along! I love that we can park in our garage! That is just SO adorable! Your car looks so happy. March 16, 2012 at 6:31 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Jon and Lois: What a Difference a Day Makes
http://loisandjon.blogspot.com/2012/03/what-difference-day-makes.html
Livin' La Vida NashVegas. Sunday, March 11, 2012. What a Difference a Day Makes. It took the painters just one day to get the outside of the garage done! The colors are the same as on our house. The red matches our new windows and I think it looks awesome. They started digging the trench for the electrical yesterday, talk about hard work! It's a deep trench, holy cow. I would not want to have to do that kind of work ever! That must have been a major pain. It is adorable, like a dollhouse! Grand Cayman, GC.

Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery: May 2009

Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. 15, I'd go. Tourists. Now that I think about it, he didn't really fight much when I gave him 30 rupees. Maybe I should have given 20. The holy grail of traveling in India is getting the price that locals get. Even with getting overcharged, things here are really cheap. I paid on average about $4-$5 per night for a hotel room. On April 22 I took a train to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. The train stations are incredibly crowded here. I hired ...
Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery: December 2008
http://jay-imm.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery. Saturday, December 27, 2008. On Sunday, December 14, I arrived in Lima, Peru. For a city of 8 million people, there doesn't seem to be a lot going on. A lot of people skip Lima altogether on their way to Peru's better sights. There is a about one day's worth of stuff to see in Lima. I had two full days. The central plaza is definitely worth a look. Slums on a hillside painted bright colors so they look pretty from a distance. Central Market in Cuzco. On Sunday, ...

Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery. Friday, January 30, 2009. On January 6, I took a bus from the Bolivian border to San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. The bus ride was mostly all downhill and it seemed to be about 20 degrees warmer when I got there, which I was happy about. I got a room and a bus ticket out of town for the next day. I got into Santiago on January 8 and spent about four days there. On January 13, I took a six hour bus ride to Mendoza, Argentina. Mendoza is a wine growing region note...
Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery: November 2009
http://jay-imm.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Jay Graham - International Man of Mystery. Monday, November 9, 2009. Knez Mihailova is a pedestrian-only street in the old part of Belgrade. It is lined with fancy shops and restaurants. This is about as good as Belgrade gets. Belgrade fortress is pretty much the only tourist site in Belgrade. Bosnia is mountainous country, but lacks dramatic, Alp-like peaks. It reminded me a bit of West Virginia. Sarajevo is a long, narrow city nestled between two mountain ranges. It's so hard to imagine how such a long...

Living with Smiles in the Great British Isles. Sunday, 31 January 2010. Adults weekend in London. BD and I had a rare treat this weekend.a trip to London without the kids, with other adults, for dinner and a show! We had such a great time. The kids were in safe hands so we caught the bus at 7:30am on Saturday without a care in the world. Had a leisurely cuppa at Starbucks (and some porridge for me) then met Gary and Lynn, Ann and John at the train station. Sunday, 17 January 2010. Talia is growing up.

Living with Smiles in the Great British Isles. Friday, 20 May 2011. Blue Coat School really got into the royal wedding too, with a day of celebrations. The kids made special hats and watched a wedding re-enactment (with Max's nursery teacher from last year, the one he wanted to marry.he must have gotten over it because we didn't hear anything about it). But it must be said, the Brits are thrilled with our new princess, and our very humble and handsome prince. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
