Borders Corporate Accounts: waldenbooks
http://waldenbooks.livejournal.com/24499.html
I've had this come up twice and the first time I didn't think we could do it, but I don't know. A while back a man came in with a green Borders corporate card (I think it's the equivilant of a corporate WISE account). I tried everything I could think of to make the discount card work, to no avail. My biggest problem was that the card has more numbers that a the computer will let me use when ringing up a corporate sale. Does Waldenbooks accept these Borders corporate cards? Post a new comment.

If you search "Waldenbooks" in google enough, you can find the pages that have our printable coupons on them. I find that kind of funny. Post a new comment. Comments allowed for members only. http://waldenbooks.livejournal.com/22498.html
So it's official.our store (WB 0669) will be closing sometime in the near future. For those who don't remember, borders is building a store physically inside the mall. It's projected to open in october. The DM for borders is coming to our store on thursday to talk employment with us. I don't know if i want to transfer there or not. I'm hoping that a year of being the sb/keyholder will get me somewhere that pays more than 7.25/hr. So has anyone ever been through a store closing process before?

conversions: waldenbooks
http://waldenbooks.livejournal.com/22942.html
Hey everyone, I'm trying to work on a report for a class and I'm writing about the converstion of Waldenbooks to Borders Express. Who here has experienced it? What new things did you get? How long did it take? Did things go according to plan? Etc Also, if anyone has any pictures to share with your stories, I'd appreciate it. Post a new comment. Comments allowed for members only. New Paydays: waldenbooks
http://waldenbooks.livejournal.com/23654.html
How does everyone feel about the new pay periods starting June 22 to match up with Borders? I always thought it was odd that we got paid every week, every 2 weeks makes more sense to me. new dress code: waldenbooks
http://waldenbooks.livejournal.com/23962.html
What's going on with this new dress code? I'm confused because in her messages, the DM said, "I hate this, but it looks like nice jeans are ok" yet I'm hearing from other people that it's more of a professional appearance, yet eInfo said that they wanted to keep the casual atmosphere of the store. Um, what have you all heard? Post a new comment. Comments allowed for members only. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

Albertsons + Insurance: idaho
http://idaho.livejournal.com/263759.html
I have a couple weird questions. Does anyone here work for Albertsons (or worked for them in the past)? What is the deal with their insurance? Second, I know Idaho isn't that worker-friendly, but shouldn't they have some rights to be informed of the insurance? The whole thing is baffling and I can't find any information about it online. So, if anyone has any insight on what is going on, I'd really appreciate it. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives: idaho
http://idaho.livejournal.com/263232.html
Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Lifted from The Statesman. I'm bummed they filmed the Press Room. I used to work nearby and would have loved to meet Guy Fieri. Anyway, I think it's great some local places are featured and thought I'd share. Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network will air the segment that features Gernika Basque Pub and Eatery in Downtown Boise at 8 pm Monday, April 20. The episode highlighting Boise's West Side Drive-in, is scheduled to air Monday, May 11. Post a new comment.
