When I went to pick her up to bring her to our house, she had a laundry basket full of denim strips from the jeans and a variety of backings and batting. I started right in sewing the strips together into longer strips and then used my rotary cutter to make them straight. Labels: Sewing and Crafts. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Good Ship Lollipop: August 2011
http://thegoodshiplollipop.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. Lincoln's hair was getting a bit too scraggly, so I decided it was time for him to get a haircut. With two men in the house now, it seemed crazy to be paying for haircuts all the time, so I decided to get a pair of clippers and learn how to do it myself! AJ was kind to put his full faith in me and was very encouraging. I also decided while I was at it - to cut all the girls too. So here are some before and afters of everyone. 65279; Rating: 5 Lollipops. Thursday, August 25, 2011.

The Good Ship Lollipop: Happy Anniversary!
http://thegoodshiplollipop.blogspot.com/2012/01/happy-anniversary.html
Tuesday, January 3, 2012. AJ and I celebrated 11 years today! Since today is also Liliana's birthday, we actually went out last week. The day after Christmas, we left the kids with AJ's mom, and went to Denver overnight. AJ was able to redeem some of his hotel points and get us a sweet room on the 16th floor of The Curtis Hotel. We were also given tickets to see West Side Story on stage for Christmas, so then on the 28th we got to go out on another date to go see that! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Good Ship Lollipop: April 2013
http://thegoodshiplollipop.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 9, 2013. 7 lbs 1oz 19.5 inches. All day long I had weird contractions starting about midnight on 4/8. I'd go for a few hours and not have any, or have several in a short amount of time - all of different intensities. Nothing predictable at all. Finally that afternoon, I suddenly had a bunch at about 3 minutes apart so AJ and I headed to the hospital. The minute we got in the car, the contractions stopped! My water gushed off and on the whole way to the hospital and when they wheeled me up ...

The Good Ship Lollipop: January 2012
http://thegoodshiplollipop.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 21, 2012. Well this is just going to be a sum up of what is going on with everyone since I have become such an infrequent poster! I've been so boring lately! Just trying to hold life together with AJ gone so much. I'm teaching four piano students now which I really enjoy. And spending quality time with my Kindle. She loves the idea of being a "big girl". She just moved of out the church nursery and into her own Sunday School class (Sunbeams). I wasn't sure how she was going to d...He lo...

The Good Ship Lollipop: May 2011
http://thegoodshiplollipop.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 7, 2011. Every six months I swap out the clothes, trading the winter and summer clothing. Being May already, I decided it was about time the summer things came out! This is always quite a task - especially as we get more kids in this house! Then after that I close up the lids on the sizes that I don't need, and then start sorting out outfits for the sizes we do! I still find myself surprised every time that there is *something* we need to go out and buy still! This picture doesn't do it jus...

Not for the Squeamish: May 2010
http://itsnotforthesqueamish.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Not for the Squeamish. I have long had a stance against licensed character merchandise for children. I did not like the idea before I had one and that hasn't changed after having G-man. In fact, I flat-out hate them for the baby/toddler set. On the small swim diaper? Winnie the Pooh on the teether. On a size 3 sandal? Why on earth are the majority of 1st birthday decorations Elmo or Dora or Disney? These kids aren't supposed to know who the characters are yet! If they do love. Elmo toys at friends homes ...
