Penang Trip | w e i n i j

Ivan and Ee Lane Part 2. The last holiday in 2009 was a long drive up north to Penang with Lorraine during the Christmas week. Well, since all the public holiday fell on a Friday, we made most of the days off that we had. We had breakfast in KL, before driving up to Penang – it was a long drive, approx. 3 and 1/2 hours before we see this…. It looked mouth watering and the portion is just enough for tea time. We didn’t want to stuff ourselves and miss dinner! We didn’t feel like eating @ The Ship or...

Taipei 101 and Mapel Landis. After a long drive and a good nap, we finally arrived at Taipei 101, tallest building in the world at that time…. The view up there is really nice, and getting up there is really fast…(less than 60 seconds to 89th floor I think)…. Grabbed some souviners from the shop there…. After a quick tour at Taipei 101, we are supposed to leave for dinner. Street view from Taipei 101 entrance. Then we were treated to a yummy, delicious – HOTPOT Dinner here…. Feed for this Entry. Lorraine’s birthday, part 2. Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi. Jasmine is Lorraine’s cousin. We went to Phuket last weekend. Ian is Jasmine’s boyfriend, he proposed – she said yes. Ian planned this proposal for quite some time now, and we tried to help out however possible to make it a BIG surprise for Jasmine. And indeed she was (I always thought girls always knew…). Congratulations Mr and Mrs Leong…. No Responses Yet to “Phuket Trip”. Feed for this Entry. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi. National Center for Traditional Arts. 2nd day at Taiwan, woke up at about 9 as we are supposed to leave about 11 back to Taipei. We stopped at the National Center for Traditional Arts before continuing our journey. Took a group photo before we went in. There were a lot of interesting buildings in the center. Very unfortunately, I don’t know what most of the buildings are for…. As well as snacks…. One Response to “National Center for Traditional Arts”. Feed for this Entry. Build a w...

https://weinij.wordpress.com/2010/04/13/lorraines-birthday-part-2
Lorraine’s birthday, part 2. Finally got my hardisk fixed. Self a new hardisk. After spinning for a good long 6 years, it decided to come to a halt. Lost 2 partitions and Windows kept giving me error😦. Anyhow, this is the 2nd part of Lorraine’s birthday. We celebrated with her friends at Yuan Steamboat, and it’s not just her birthday… It’s a March babies birthday celebration. Group pic in front of Yuen’s steamboat! Lorraine with Kentry and Mum Yee…. Birthday cake…missing Steve’s name on it.

Lorraine’s birthday, part 2. Just managed to fix my desktop – it wasn’t showing the right colors for the past week, couldn’t edit any pictures at all… Anyhow, last Friday was Lorraine’s birthday and we went out for a dinner with her friends. It was a nice and cosy dinner at Alexis. There were 8 of us that night…. And the food, yummy. After we were done with the food, then came the cake for Lorraine…. And we tried to take some group pictures. Of course, I took one with the birthday girl as well🙂.

National Center for Traditional Arts. Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi. Few months back, in January, I was fortunate enough to visit Taiwan because Malaysia won a regional competition for Windows Phone. I am not the winner, but I just get to tag along, because Malaysia won! The room is nice and comfy, and it has a welcome card as well…. The area is famous with hot springs, the best thing – you can even enjoy hot spring in the comfort of your bathroom🙂. Just a short walk from the pool is the public hot spring.

Hilltop Restaurant | w e i n i j
https://weinij.wordpress.com/2010/08/13/hilltop-restaurant
National Center for Traditional Arts. Taipei 101 and Mapel Landis. This is were we had lunch. It is very near Yilan and I suppose it’s on the way back to Taipei. There were lots of dishes, good food, local dishes… It was really great, however, the pics not very nice – so didn’t post! Yup, that’s the summary of the lunch that day. After lunch we then head back to Taipei, a 1 and 1/2 hour long drive back – which I took to nap…. No Responses Yet to “Hilltop Restaurant”. Feed for this Entry. The SaME Old mE.
