Just a quick preview of the Go Go wig, pre-trimming/styling, etc. Cloth's ready to go, so I'm going to work on the skirt and jacket all during my midsemester break. I still need to buy white shoes and a chain for my hurty ball, but I think I have everything else covered. XDD. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Laura and i have visited the new cloth store. it is MASSIVE. it's a two-level cloth/craft store of almighty doom which will be very helpful for our upcoming projects. we're going to be tackling some more complicated costumes for movie releases and A-Kon 15. I haven't decided who i want to be for a-kon yet, but i have two or three clear ideas in mind that i'm most excited about working on.i just need a stud gun, and the cloth store of doom supposedly carries them. It's been a long time since I've posted to this community, and now it's under a new name - but it's still me, Laura! I've been doing a lot of costuming work, and a lot of webpage work. So far, here are the updates:. Hmmin terms of my own costuming, the new news is that I'll be doing Sora from the Escaflowne movie after. Phewand that's just what I have planned for this. Next month, I'm thinking.Emeraude (MKR), Lain (the pinkish outfit from the opening and the club), Princess Leia (the classic first wh...

hard at work!: creativebrain

I worked a lot on tsukasa last night. i pretty much taught myself how to make gloves by going through the process veeerrrryyyy slowly. also, i discovered that laura's hand has almost the same measurements of our client's, so now i have a hand model! They're nearly finished but the two sides of each glove still need to be sewn together. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. The skirt's almost done, all that's left is attaching the waistband and hemming the bottom. Oh, yeah, and sewing in lines of red, as seen here:. My cloth looks like this, by the way:. Making progress, getting accessories; tomorrow I'll probably get my hurty ball chain. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Today I made a muslin mockup for the Go Go jacket, and after I make some adjustments to it tomorrow, I'll cut my real fabric. I still need to adjust the winged collar and possibly the sides (depends on the weight of the fabric, I think), but it's looking really good so far. Then I have to add in the red lines to the skirt and hem it, but that's pretty fast. And if it's the latter, how should I do it? Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. costuming like mad!: creativebrain
http://creativebrain.livejournal.com/6060.html
Laura and i have been hard at work on completing our a-kon costumes for ourselves and the tsukasa commission. For tsukasa: the pants are nearly complete, i'll cut the gloves and hat today. Columbia: i worked on the corset during school yesterday, and now it's about 50% done! Himemiya: i'll iron the trim to add today. Yuki: the sleeve is giving me bullshit. we'll see about that! That's all in updates for now! Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

My current projects: My (Japanese) rockstar persona - for fun and…: creativebrain

My (Japanese) rockstar persona. Go Go Yubari (from Kill Bill Vol. 1). For Halloween, also pretty easy. It's a pleated skirt and a blue blazer (two buttons, notched wing collar if I remember correctly).I've never made a blazer before, so that ought to be an interesting experience, but I've got a basic pattern drafted already, so I'll just have to do a muslin mockup before I buy the cloth for that. I'm also making a Yuya cosplay outfit. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. Post a new comment.
