Lon’s 2014 PCT Hike. Jul 24, 2016. Jul 24, 2016. Cottonwood Lake on the way to Anaconda, MT. No gear is more important to a hiker than shoes and I have been having shoe problems the past few weeks. A outfitter in Helena called Base Camp had a pretty good selection of shoes so I spent the morning trying on shoes and pacing about the store trying to imagine what they would feel like if I was walking on the trail. We have now past the halfway point in our Colorado Trail hike and will be taking our first day off from hiking in the small town of Salida, CO (13 miles east of the Colorado Trail). Lon’s 2014 PCT Hike. Sep 25, 2014. Day 174: September 23rd. Mile 2653.8 to Manning Park, BC. This morning I walked the final six miles to the northern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail at the Canadian border where I found Deb waiting for me. She had camped at the trail camp about 2/10 mile into Canada. We Finished The Oregon PCT. Aug 6, 2017. Jan 11, 2018. Today we walked across the Bridge Of The Gods in Cascade Locks, OR to finish our hike of the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail. Deb (AKA aFloat) has now hiked 2,144 miles of the PCT counting her hike across California in 2014.
