If you can't see me in your mirrors, then look! Good, Bad and Ugly. A few bicycling ideas to keep people safe on their bikes. Be seen - bright colours, flashing lights, get in the way of cars at junctions - positioning yourself in front of a queue of traffic at lights can be quite an easy way to get seen. Be polite - seems easy enough, but incredible how not acknowledging someone can cause an issue. A wave of the hand does wonders! In the bus lane, bus stopping, then stop yourself - unless it's absolutel...

If you can't see me in your mirrors, then look! Good, Bad and Ugly. All I ever wanted in life was to save money and keep fit by cycling to work. I always cycled considerately, ALWAYS stopped at red lights (unlike a large minority of other cyclists), waited for SAFE moments to overtake and absolutely MADE SURE I was visible (I have 2 sets of front and back lights, both stationary and flashing, wear bright colours and reflective gear at all times, not just during winter and evening conditions.

Pedalling across the capital since August 2005. The Wiggle New Forest 100 Sportive: getting across the finishing line. November 2, 2016. When I signed up to do the New Forest 100 Sportive, organised by sports retailer Wiggle, I was still buzzing from having completed the Surrey 46. I had enjoyed that ride so much I wanted to compete in a similar event before the summer was out. The scenery, of course, helped compensate for the difficult cycling conditions, although I could have done with a few less hills.
