London evolution: January 2010

View images related to this post. Given that we don't have any expendable  income at the moment, we decided to visit another one of London's many parks - Holland Park. This park is located between Kensington and Nottinghill Gate and although it is not a big park, it has a unique character about it that Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park (closer to home) doesn't have. We delved deeper into the park, which features a lot of wild rugged areas, fenced off, as well as rehabilitation areas for native wildlife. Holla...

London evolution: 52. Köln day trip

http://www.londonevolution.blogspot.com/2009/12/52-koln-day-trip.html

52 Köln day trip. Relating to this post. We caught the train out to Köln (Cologne). The first thing you see when stepping out of Cologne's central train station is the massive Cologne Cathedral - one of Europe's tallest cathedrals. Known locally as the Kölner Dom, it is Germany's most famous gothic structure. We entered the cathedral and immediately noticed how gigantic it was not only in length and width, but also how high the ceiling was. The magnificent stained glass windows were so tall and numer...

London evolution: 60. Greenwich

http://www.londonevolution.blogspot.com/2010/01/60-greenwich.html

View images related to this post. A nice, albeit crisp, sunny day beckoned so we decided to make a return visit to Greenwich. Getting to Greenwich is a bit of a pain at the best of times, but this weekend was worse. Transport in London isn't that great when everything is running, and on the weekends using the trains is a bit like Russian Roulette, with usually more than half the rail network "closed for maintenance". Greenwich University is housed (along with Trinity College of Music) in the old Baroque ...

Pippa's Blog: January 2008

http://pippala.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Tuesday, 29 January 2008. First day on the job. Well, I really had no reason to be nervous. (Yes, thankyou to everyone who told me so! Apart from that, the day was relatively boring. My judge didn't turn up, not that he could have given me any work to do - he doesn't get sworn in until Friday. Sunday, 27 January 2008. I love picking up a bargains. The suit I bought last weekend was $330 down to $100. I feel better now.

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Friday, 29 June 2007. I don't read people's blogs very often, but after not getting a chance for ages due to exams I read Ali's blog and look what she goes and does. Tags me. Cheers. Here are the rules:. 1 I have to post these rules before I give you the facts. 2 Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 5 Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Friday, 28 September 2007. Almost a month has passed since my last entry. This whole time I have been kidding myself that I have been doing nothing but study and writing my honours paper. In reality I have been doing nothing but procrastinating. I really don't know why I am making it so difficult for myself. Wednesday, 5 September 2007. I got home at 4.30 yesterday and after a bit of a nap at home, mum and I went o...

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Sunday, 8 March 2009. June 2008 - January 2009. My last post was in June 2008. Yikes! To be honest, I forgot I had a blog. Here is the photo of the wedding in Thailand that I promised. I got home from Thailand (after a very large shopping spree in Bangkok), got straight back into work and it was head down, bum up. I can't remember much of what happened between June and September. I think mostly just work. Earlier in th...

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Sunday, 19 August 2007. I just wrote a post about how bad I feel about not getting my research project done. And then somehow deleted it. Considering how bad I feel, I probably shouldn't re-write it. Wednesday, 8 August 2007. Who's who of getting married. My brother in England just posted that he is coming home in January. Hooray! Really hope T and I can get a decent amount of time off to have a mini holiday before or ...

The life and times of a girl who most of the time doesn't have a clue what's going on. Saturday, 1 March 2008. For some reason fragmented. Missing TJ. Heaps. Leaving in 21 days. Not sure if I should be preparing for going overseas. Not sure what I should be doing to prepare to go overseas. Should probably have gone out tonight. Didn't. Stayed at home and watched crap movies with too many ads. Need sleep. Next step - make bed. Stupid sheets that need washing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). T L Cool J.
