Thames Gateway Progress News. Chinook Urban Mining’s first EfW project will be located on the 60-acre Sustainable Industries Park in Dagenham, East London ( SIP ). This facility will reduce landfill by processing up to 180,000 tonnes per annum of MSW and C&I waste and will generate over 20MWs of low carbon renewable electricity. That is enough energy to power over 35,000 homes and to displace waste from 180,000 homes from ending up in landfill every year. What is Energy from Waste?
