Christine in Korea!: WE ARE FAMILY!
http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2010/09/family-reunited.html
Saturday, September 25, 2010. Two weeks before I left Korea, my Uncle Bob and Aunt Shina returned to Korea! My uncle will continue teaching English as a professor while my aunt enjoys living near her family again. It was packed with fans from both teams with all sorts of noise making souvenirs. The game was a blast with fan cams, lots of fun Korean chants, icecream, and the eventual stadium lights after sunset. It was so fun that sadly, I can't even remember if they won or lost! Look at all those sides!

St. Joe to Suji-gu: March 2010
http://britneykorea.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
St Joe to Suji-gu. I've been teaching for over a year at LCI Kids Club, an English immersion school in a suburb of Seoul, South Korea. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Don't worry about the snow in March.not like it should be Spring or anything. At least it makes the sewage stream look a bit omre picturesque. Walking to work in the snow and slush is tons of fun! Street food in Myeongdong.I'd love to actually see someone walking around gnawing on one of those two-foot long octopus legs. From my 4:00 class: Annik...

shauna in south korea: June 2010
http://scinsouthkorea.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Shauna in South Korea. You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place. Sunday, June 27, 2010. Mom and Dad: I know you are probably a little worried so I want you to know that it was definitely equipped with everything we would. Have needed: sex toy vending machines, lacy decor, and TV channels only playing. Lets just say- it was all worth it for the price! We dr...

Christine in Korea!: 4th of July!
http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2010/07/4th-of-july.html
Monday, July 5, 2010. I woke up at 5:30am, jumped in a cab, and made it to Ansan by 7am. What was I doing up so early on the 4th of July? I registered for a half-marathon that had free registration for foreigners! I have wanted to do one since I got here, so this was the perfect chance. I decided to keep the tradition by doing a run on the 4th like I usually do in Hancock back home. This year I just upped the miles by ten! It was so awesome to see her face as the race ended. I didn't think I would ca...

Christine in Korea!: The Big Hike!
http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2010/07/big-hike.html
Monday, July 5, 2010. I have to admit I was more than nervous after I signed up for a 9-14 hour hike! Seoraksan National Park has the third highest peak, but the most beautiful views in all of Korea. The site had warned that this was not for first time hikers. Well, I've hiked before, but I wouldn't call myself a hiking pro by any means. I certainly had never done a 9-14 hour hike before! By 5am, we had light with mountains surrounding us on every side. There were points where it literally felt like ...

Christine in Korea!: November 2009
http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. The Last Few Weeks. It's been a while since I wrote. After my trip to Taiwan, it didn't seem like anything could be that. On Sunday, we (London, Shuana, and I) knocked on Britney's door to surprise her with her favorite Korean cake, Hapy (. Missing one P as a common Korean/English translation problem) Birthday candles, and a tambourine as a present. Now, she has her own. It took the entire bus ride home to un-thaw! On Friday, I headed to Jeonju once again to spend the weekend w...

http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2010/09/better-late-than-nevervietnam.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. Better Late Than Never.Vietnam! Back to the subject I want to write about, Vietnam. On July 24th, Britney, Shauna, and I took our final vacation during our time in Korea together. Here's what we did! It ended up being a wonderful, clean, and hospitable place to stay. Sunday, July 25th: We spent the morning with our kind hostel worker who helped us plan our entire week's travels. She set up every detail from transportation, meals, and lodging! Hold your hand over the terrain, a...

Christine in Korea!: December 2009
http://christinegrotjohnkorea.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Good Bye For Now! Who would have thought that you could go to another country and see family more often than at home where you both live? Well, that's been true for me. In the past four months, I have seen my aunt and uncle from Virginia five times. That's more than we've seen each other in the past five years! Our first visit was the Seoul City Bus Tour in September when uncle Bob came to the city for work. Then, uncle Bob made a short stop in Suji. Monday, December 7, 2009.

Sunday, June 13, 2010. My weekend trips are continuing to brings loads of fun in different places around Korea! This weekend, Shauna and I went to visit a Gustie friend, Aaron Mayo in Daegu. We woke up Saturday morning, headed to the train station, and crashed in our luxury seats (more like recliners, foot rests and all) until we arrived three hours later. We freshened up at Aaron's apartment and headed downtown to get a short city tour and begin the weekend's World Cup festivities! We have no idea what ...
