Tomas the Toro Moves to London. A little bull in a big city. Thanks to the help of my new friends, I finally escaped Spain (by way of France) to come and reside in London! I am loving it so much here that I have decided to start a blog to chronicle my adventures. First, a big piece of news: I have been accepted into the London Business School MBA Class of 2008! Posted by Clancy at 1:00 PM. I look forward to hearing about your adventures this year. Great site loved it alot, will come back and visit again.

Tomas the Toro Moves to London. A little bull in a big city. A Picture From My Escape. Here's a pic Ben Wai took of me travelling on the EuroStar to my new home in London. That cup I am in is the MBAT Champions Trophy Cup. My new London Business School buddies are pretty excited because they whooped a bunch of other business schools to become the 2006 MBAT Champions! Of course, their status as champions is one of the reasons why I left my old business school in Spain to come here.). I Have Been IDd!

European MBA Diary: June 2005

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 14, 2005. The life of a vegetable. It's reaching unimaginable levels. It has spread all over my body. No turning back, now. And counting for this damn month to end. In 'The Life of a Vegetable', by rsr.pt, during his last days at work. PS: yesterday I made the transfer for the reservation fee. 6000 pounds. 9000 Euros. Oh god. I'm fainting again. Posted by Ricardo at 4:28 pm. Tuesday, June 07, 2005. I shouldn't have let them. I shouldn't have let them do it! Posted by Ricardo at 1:59 pm.

Thursday, December 14, 2006. This semester is done! After an exhaustive group project for M&A (you're not supposed to work on weekends if you're on exchange! An exam for Managerial Decision Making, another project for Media and Entertainment Marketing (about Shortbus. You gotta see this movie! So this is the right time to think about the last few months and come up with a list of the best and worst things about my exchange at Columbia. 2) New York. What can I say about this amazing city? European MBA Diary: The King is alive!!

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2006/10/king-is-alive.html

Sunday, October 29, 2006. The King is alive! What do you do when your girlfriend is visiting you and it's fall break? You go to Vegas! Well I guess that every excuse is a good excuse to go to Vegas, but I just couldn't miss the opportunity. And I'm glad I didn't, because I loved it! What a fantastic city! As I said before, last week I had no classes. It was the fall break, a strange concept for LBS students like myself. But a great concept, I should say! Just look at the size of that thing! European MBA Diary: Spring break

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2007/04/spring-break.html

Thursday, April 05, 2007. It's still an improvement, but not enough. My last post was written 2 months after the previous, and this one I'm writing now was going the same way. Well, 1 month and a half is not bad. Could be worse. Much has happened this term. I am now in cozy Portugal, enjoying the not so good weather, but the best friends, family and girlfriend. Feels good to be back. Fingers crossed for this one. Do you remember my post about Rose Polidoro. I have kept contact with her and now I am very ...

European MBA Diary: July 2005

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 25, 2005. Now that I have some free time, and after downloading lots of software into my iPAQ, I thought about posting something about books. I must confess I am not an avid reader. I'm more into music (I hear in average one new cd every day). And into movies (one or two per week). But I guess that every blogger has to write something about his preferred books! So, here are my 2 cents. Music and movies will come on other posts. By FA Hayek (boring and too radical); Blink. Written in 1953 (!

European MBA Diary: I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2008/02/ive-seen-things-you-people-wouldnt.html

Thursday, February 14, 2008. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.". So I finally decided to officially close this blog. It's about time, right? Etc, etc, etc.) and I'm getting all stressed out :-). But no, I'll stick to the initial plan. I joined a FAN-TAS-TIC media company (hint: this post had something about it)...

European MBA Diary: Ok... I give up!

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2007/06/ok-i-give-up.html

Thursday, June 07, 2007. Ok I give up! It really seems that I cannot post something more frequently. Again, the 2-month barrier has not been overcome! Now, the problem is that there are sooooooo many things to talk about that I don't even know where to start! Ok mmm. MBAT. We won! Probably you already know that, as you may have read it in some of the other fantastic blogs. But I still had to mention it. Here's a pic of the basketball champions :). This is where it all began! European MBA Diary: 2 months

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2007/02/2-months.html

Wednesday, February 14, 2007. 2 months since my last post. I guess my January archive won't take much space on Google's servers ;). So, what happened this last couple of months? Well, after finishing my stay in New York (what a great time I had there) and being massively pampered at home during Christmas and New Year's eve (gotta tell mum not to cook that much), I finally returned to good old grey London. Next time please shoot me in the head instead! Let's see. oh! Last week there was snow in London!

European MBA Diary: Home, sweet home!

http://mbaeurope.blogspot.com/2005/06/home-sweet-home.html

Monday, June 06, 2005. Home, sweet home! Home, at last! What a long weekend this was! I went to London thursday night after work and woke up Friday early in the morning for the HSBC loan appointment. I then went for a quick visit at the school (what an amazing location! To take some photos. Then it was the LBS dinner. and I arrived one hour late. Why am I always late? Presentations by the dean, MBA staff, student's association, career services, 2006 class, programme management, a fantastic 'fake' lecture...

londontorykid | moderate libertarian topical commentary

Moderate libertarian topical commentary. 8 February, 2011. Landed on my doormat on Friday. It had an enchanting article. Identifying Londonism (“[p]ro-finance, pro-immigration and hungry for investment”) as straddling the left right divide; “a fittingly mongrel ideology for the cosmopolis.” It made me think of a 2004 Institute of Historical Research article I thought I’d like to share. London to Saigon 2010

Sunday, 21 November 2010. Mui Ne to SAIGON! Breakfast on the beach, a fitting way to start our last day of driving. Great though it is, it still doesnt take the edge off of this being quite a sad day. So, for the very last time I check the oil and re-fit the rotor arm to the distributor. We make our way out of Mui Ne and back to Highway 1. Destination Saigon. Our guide explained previously that driving a filthy dirty car in Saigon is frowned upon, so the plan is to set aside a little time enroute to get ...

Moving from London to San Francisco with some travel inbetween…. Lake Titicaca – Copacabana and the 9 hour boat ride we never wanted…. October 20, 2011. July 10, 2011. We stayed in Sucre at the Hotel Villa Antigua. The next and final day in Sucre we had planned on going to the Cretacious park which is located a bit outside town and contains a wall with fossilised tracks of dinosaurs as well as life sized models of various dinosaurs. We spent about an hour looking around at various dinos and marvelling at...
