http://longlivemao.blogspot.com/2010/06/bzzzzzz.html

Saturday, June 19, 2010. Chairman Mao has come down with World Cup fever- it's much more dangerous than swine flu as it renders the millions of infected people useless for a month. After the soccer has finished, Mao plans to eat the mascot as it is very good for vitality. Plus, the big cheetah is sure to taste better than the Fuwa or Haibao. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thursday, July 7, 2011. Back from the Dead. Former Chairman Jiang Zemin loves playing practical jokes. And everyone fell for it once again. Jiang Zemin's other great practical jokes with Chinese characteristics:. In June 1989, he promised to give students everything they want.as long as it didn't bring shame to their parents. He said it was perfectly safe to sell blood in Henan province. The following year he erased Henan from the maps so journalists couldn't find it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://gailandrocco.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

The Gail and Rocco Show in China. Living and Loving in Southern China as Expats. Friday, May 8, 2009. We arrived in Zhuhai on Friday evening, had a delicious Chinese meal, and then took a walk to the beach. We enjoyed the company of 2 other foreign teachers that went on the trip with us—Vincent, from France and Giette from India. The next morning after breakfast, we headed for the ferry terminal to catch a ride to an island off the coast of Zhuhai that was about an hour away. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Waiguoren Critic of South China: New Business Plan

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2008/07/new-business-plan.html

Thursday, July 24, 2008. Or maybe it's just another ploy to avoid talking to some people. My wife had a custom shirt made for me as a one-year anniversary gift. The idea of this evolved out of many conversations with J. Some of my co-workers thought it was funny and suggested that I have more made so I can wear it every day. Who knows, maybe it'll be profitable. I want one as well! Have you turned a profit yet? Haha, you're t-shirt is just hilarious! Very cool shirt :-). Do Í have to say anything else.

Waiguoren Critic of South China: Environmental Magic

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2011/05/environmental-magic.html

Friday, May 20, 2011. Throughout China I came across amusing signs. Some of them were amusing for the misuse of English and others were just entirely confusing. There were even a few hilarious ones in Chinese (my favorite is still the " Stupid chicken, duck. I wish I hadn't found this sign on the way out of the park as I would've liked to see what the mobile ecological toilet was like. Why would an ecological toilet evoke an image of a rabbit in a magician's hat? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Waiguoren Critic of South China: Spoiled Similarities

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2007/11/spoiled-similarities.html

Monday, November 26, 2007. I believe that people need to pay their dues before they can show this sort of behavior. It's simply annoying and rude. These spoiled children of the world will cause more problems in the future as their sense of entitlement grows. How will they know how to handle a difficult situation when mommy and daddy aren't around to fight for them? I can only hope that the next generation will turn out better. Waiguoren Critic of South China: Olympic Fighting Words

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2008/07/olympic-fighting-words.html

Monday, July 21, 2008. You've hit and injured another person, you know. He's also hit and injured me. He's been injured very seriously and taken to the hospital. Why are you only questioning me? We'll question him when he comes to. How did you come to fight with him? I couldn't bear his insult! Why did you fight with him this time? Because he took too many liberties with my girl friend. Did you try to keep away from him? Yes At first, we kept away from him, but not very far. Why didn't you leave the bar?

Waiguoren Critic of South China: Counterproductive Censorship

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2009/06/counterproductive-censorship.html

Wednesday, June 03, 2009. It's the run up to that all-important anniversary of the event that never really happened in China 20 years ago. I'm not surprised, and most others aren't either, that the government decided to "harmonize" a great many Web sites that could endanger the harmonious socialist society with Chinese characteristics. Those Web sites include Twitter, Flickr, Hotmail, Youtube, WordPress, Blogger, and the rest of the decent half of the Internet. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Review:...

Waiguoren Critic of South China: The Train to Montreal

http://everymanscritic.blogspot.com/2011/08/train-to-montreal.html

Friday, August 05, 2011. The Train to Montreal. A couple weeks ago I took a few days away from the NYC area. I decided to try Amtrak for the first time- tickets to Montreal cost about the same a driving (possibly a little less with gas prices), and I wouldn't have to pay for parking. The only downside to taking the train is that it takes almost twice as long as driving- the schedule estimates 11 hours, whereas driving would be about six. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
