Mike and Phil doing a long walk. Monday, 25 June 2012. It was a cold and misty morning as the lads set off with Pip from just outside Reay walking towards Thurso. Pip didn't have her walking harness so Jean and Mary returned to the campsite for it. Look at the photo! They climbed the Devils Stairway to the top of a ben . not as difficult as it sounds, and were rewarded at the top with awesome views of mountains, lochs and forests all around. Mike and Phil doing a long walk. Tuesday, 19 June 2012. We left Inverness behind and drove back over the bridges to the drop off point for the start of today's walk. As the first mile was along the A9, it was decided that Pip would travel by car to a place called Evanton where Jean and Mary set up and served coffee and cake for the lads (and themselves). As the guys walked along the A9 they saw seals swimming in the Cromarty Firth. This turned out to be the highlight of the day. 19 June 2012 at 14:48.
