It's A Beautiful Day in the Bloggerhood. Monday, March 23, 2015. And when did it become a bragging right to be a "basic bitch"? When did that become something that any woman should be proud of or strive for? I don't understand. I would hope my daughter doesn't grow up and list her crowning achievement as being a "basic bitch". It's like listening to a whole morning show where a girl is playing dumb to get a boy's attention. I just feel like after two years of hard times, something has to get better, right? It's been a long December and there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last. Can't she listen on the big things and then screw up by running out of gas on her way to work or something? I was under the impression that everyone I was truly close to kind of knew that. I thought I had made it pretty clear to those who were trusted enough to know my life story. I was taken aback by that one statement. She didn't know? How could she not have known? What did I do to make it unclear?

Morning Edition on NPR today had a charming story of a So Cal artist in the 60's creating his art not from the eternal ocean but by the streets and hills around his studio.
