Thursday, November 27, 2014. Today is a quiet day at the hospital. It is treatment day and usually the Clinical Treatment Center is buzzing with clients. Today I have a bay to myself. I am enjoying this quiet change of pace. My treatments started off rough in August (not as rough as when I was pregnant with Boone, mind you), but have gotten almost to the point of easy (GASP). If I drink lots, I have had minimal headaches (and some weeks not any! Nothing to be done now, but eat healthy from this point for...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014 Year End Review. 2014 has been a great year. I feel like each year that passes goes quicker and quicker. My little ones are growing so fast and I feel like I am just not ready for it. I know it has to happen but I wish time would slow down just a little! With that being said, here's a recap of my year in blogland. We said Hello to a new home, a new TINY home that caused me some MAJOR anxiety and LOTS of tears! It always pays to read the fine print! And for those of you ...

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Last minute Christmas gift ideas from the Queen of Procrastination herself! Like most years, I have to do a lot of my Christmas shopping tomorrow, Christmas Eve. Luckily, the kids are done and I've made a lot of homemade items this year. Just a few things that I've been saving for the last minute. If you are like me, here are some ideas that you can pick up at local stores, like Target. This post is not sponsored by anyone, just some items that I have and love. I am obsessed w...

We have so many memories and have grown together through the teen years, university, weddings, and babies. These are my girls. Each of them stood up for me on our wedding day and we continue to be friends over 15 years later. Carmen, Candace, Me, Deena, Sara, Gina. 1 The Snake Dance. One year I even remember one of us being ...

Friday, November 28, 2014. It's fitting that my Friday favorite would be the Thanksgiving holiday. I love everything about it. It's relaxing, stress-free (unless you are the one making the meal) and an opportunity to hang out together and enjoy a meal. There are no pressures and no expectations.and I just love it! There is something hypnotizing about walking into a warm house that smells like a Thanksgiving meal. I'm serious, it's my favorite. Anyway, it's fairly rare, there is no known cause. Even cetap...

Friday, November 28, 2014. Lifestyle Sistas - a recipe with 5 ingredients or less. Today's topic was chosen by me. I impressed myself by choosing something to do with cooking, as a chef I am not. But regardless of whether I like to cook, it is something most people are stuck doing. As a working mom with 2 needy kids I want something that is easy to cook but still tastes yummy. 4 tsp apricot jam. 1/3 cup pistachios, coarsely chopped. Salmon fillets, skin-side down, on second prepared sheet. Sprinkle w...

Monday, September 29, 2014. Not with my husband. With my kids. James was out for the night so me and the kids loaded up to head to the mall. I really wanted to check out the new, and first, Nordstrom store to open in Canada, but mostly the kids were driving me crazy and the quickest way to turn their moods around is to take them out and about. On the way to the mall we decided that we would do my return first, the very reason we headed to the mall, followed by food court for supper. After the lego store,...

Thursday, January 8, 2015. Winter/Holiday Style Me Pretty Challenge. Week 4. We are on the last week of the Style Me Pretty Challenge! Well, maybe not yayyy because my daily emails are no longer coming in and that makes me sad! I have to say that the first few days of January have been a little rough. We have been a lucky family not to be hit with the flu bug that has been going around everywhere. That being said, this mama has had quite an adjustment going back to work. I truly believe in dressing nice&...

Fit and Fabulous: My Christmas home tour
http://www.theblondissima.com/2014/12/my-christmas-home-tour.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. My Christmas home tour. Who said fake trees can't be pretty? Mine is full and tall and to get the Christmas tree scent I use plug-in scents. It also has candles on them which is a European tradition. And if one light goes out, the other ones stay lit! My tree is filled with pink ornaments, ribbon, pearls, snowflakes, icicles, and roses. Earlier this month I posted about some of my favorite Christmas things. And here's a list of my favorite Christmas songs. She thought she could.
