Salem Music Surge: September 2010
http://salemmusicsurge.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
My attempt to discover Salem's music and art community. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. I've been watching as "The Space", Salem's iconic music venue, has struggled to stay afloat since it's birth. Noise complaints were hitting The Space and hitting it hard. So it came as no suprise to me when I read that The Space had closed down. As well as others waiting on the call from Doug himself who had sent a email stating that he has his eye on downtown Salem for a new potential location. Best of luck Doug,.

Salem Music Surge: November 2010
http://salemmusicsurge.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
My attempt to discover Salem's music and art community. Monday, November 29, 2010. An Excerpt From My Oregon Music News Article. The new LP Have Cake. Is something Ace of Cakes Duff Goldman would dive face first into. Riddled with unique hooks and thought provoking lyrics, "Have Cake" does not fall short in its over-all production quality, due to lead singer Daniel Jones' 7 years of experience in a studio setting. Symmetry/Symmetry will be playing at Doug Fir Lounge. Posted by A.V. Links to this post.

Knowledge is Power. Use Media Wisely. Monday, January 25, 2010. Things I've Learned About Blogging in 2010. Here are a few things I have learned about blogging and about myself while taking this Blogs In Education class. As well as keeping up my Salem blog. And this blog. I also have a blog for work. That I've been trying to keep up for my students. Non-bloggers have a different perception of blogging than I do and that is probably okay. Not everyone needs to blog. Some of my students probably fall into ...

And we ended with a sweet treat - which is AHHHH-MAZING! Of course, we probably just HAD to partake of a Caipirinha - or two! Happy beginning of the Christmas weekend! Richard enjoys tra...

Thursday, April 12, 2012. An Adoptive Child's Journey. I recently posted on Facebook that I had made contact with my birth family. If you’ve not been “following along” – I was adopted when I was 3 weeks old. I was taught from an early age that love made a family – not blood. My father explained it to me like this… “Cindy Lynn. Blood doesn’t mean anything. I wasn’t blood related to your Mother and I would have laid down my life for her.”. And the update to my decision HERE. A few weeks ago I received an e...
