Hydra is a little like Mackinac Island in that there are almost no motor vehicles, just horses and donkeys. No bicycles either. Not with these hills. The whole darn town is nearly vertical. Liz and Mike loose in an RV. Monday, August 26, 2013. Where little cable cars. Trundle all around the city, mostly full to the gills with tourists. Lousy rhyme but true. I'm not complaining. For a measly 4 bucks a day each we were able to ride them to many of the cool places here. Not all by any means, there is just too much to see for a mere week. Let's see if I can put it together. Not an unusual view around the bay. Windmills everywhere. Right out the ferry terminal door. A real magazine ad circa 1890.

We got up early and just followed the directions our hostess, Fortini Logianni thoughtfully wrote out for us last night. For a mere 12 euros each we got tickets good for 4 days of wandering around a lot of old stone. Check it out! By the way, this is my first attempt at blogging by smartphone.
