Learning photography and random other bits from my life. Sunday, November 10, 2013. The (half) moon was out today. This weekend Erin and I headed to McConnell Springs. We had originally planned to head to Berea to try to catch some fall colors, but got a late start so decided to stay close since it's getting dark so soon now. McConnell is one of our favorite parks in the area, it's convenient, there's a good chance of spotting wildlife and the boils. Color was in abundance thanks to me.

Learning photography and random other bits from my life. Saturday, October 19, 2013. Today I went on a work outing to Keeneland. It was the first time I've actually been in to see the track and racing. I had been out there for tailgating before though. We had reserved seats, under a permanent canopy. Below us was general admission standing/seating. We had food vouchers too, so I had a chili dog and bottle of water for lunch. I didn't make any bets, instead I took pictures to occupy myself.

We went to a friend's wedding in December, and the booth there seemed like it went over really well. I also recently acquired a flash (Canon 430EX II) and some supporting equipment. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Paige's last day at Bartram Academy. On her last day, I brought my camera and she brought some cards that she made for her favorite teachers. She had me draw lines on folded pages and then she cut them out and Andrea helped her spell out her messages to everyone. We snapped a picture out in front of the school and one out by the playground before we went inside. Once inside, we snapped a few pictures with her teachers and with the front office lady Amanda. Sunday, July 26, 2015. On Sunday, Grandma Genie's tummy wasn't feeling so good, so we had a quiet morning and then went to Cantina Laredo for lunch. Afterwards, we went to a couple open houses just for fun and then swam at the house and did our regular Sunday tennis lessons. Grandma Genie took some cute pictures of the kids.
