Monday, July 23, 2012. The first month of summer break Belen had swim lessons- Oscar splashed around during her lesson. We got meet Andreas and play with Antonio and Tashon. Garrett took the kids to check out Lake Harriett. We went to Iowa at the end of June and went to Adventure Land. The kids loved it! The pirate ship was Belen's Favorite ride. Oscar did well on some big rides. Belen did a roller coaster that had loops, but she said it was too bumpy for her. Look at these two hammin' it up.

Monday, June 11, 2012. We had our ultrasound and it's a BOY! Belen was a little disappointed, but handled it well. Now for a name. We went to a Twins game- and got poured on, but it was still fun. We basically ate the whole time. Oscar got a serious cut! He got it spiked up. We went to Pippi Longstocking. Garrett has been working on bike riding with the kids. We are trying the balance bike (no pedals) method. Belen had her first piano recital. She played three songs and did pretty well..

Sunday, September 21, 2014. This is Belen's first day of second grade and a few days later Oscar had his first day of (all day) Kindergarten. In line for the bus. Coen and I walked back from the bus stop and I felt like "what now? It is pretty laid back when it is just us. It has been fun getting some alone time with him. Oscar coming off the bus. One day I got the report he sat at the back with the 8th graders. we quickly made a first 4 row guide :) yikes. This is Oscar at 5pm after the second day.

Monday, June 2, 2014. Here's the rest of the winter and our short spring. We kept busy indoors avoiding the winter the best we could. Garrett and I were honored to attend Ross and Richard's wedding on Valentine's Day. Brunch at Good Earth with Grandma and Grandpa. Belen and Garrett went to a Daddy-Daughter dance at the gym. Monday, January 21, 2013. Over Christmas break we switched rooms with the kids- here is a look at their room. I'm pretty excited about how it turned out. I don't think the pictures do it justice. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Here's a look at our newest addition- Coen Mika Petrie. Born 10/26/12 at 8:13pm. Here's his first bath. You can't quite see the stats- he was 7lb 13oz and 19.5 inches long. The kids were so excited to meet their brother, they brought him a few gifts. They were both very gentle. Auntie Nae getting some practice (her and Brandt will be having a baby in May). Coen getting some prints. Here he is right before we left the hospital. The little shoes were Garrett's when he was a baby.

Tuesday, June 18, 2013. May showers bring June showers. Here is what we have been up to the last few months! Coen can sit up well- right around 6 months. This is the first time having solid food. As you can see, he didn't like it at first. Crazy hair day at preschool. I later learned Elmer's glue is the real secret to a mohawk. Belen loves to feed Coen. Oh and hold and carry and whatever else you will let her do. Coen can stand up by himself if supported. Belen tucked Coen into the swing, and it worked!

Sunday, September 21, 2014. Here is a look at our packed summer! Garrett was home for most of it, so we did so many fun trips. Belen got sucked into Anne of Green Gables :). Belen and Junia did a Frozen music workshop, complete with a "Let it go" performance. My mom, Lynnae and I went on a girl's weekend to Chicago.
