Aug 8, 2014. Mammoth 2014: The first day. The first day we got to Mammoth was sunny and nice…it would be the only day it didn't rain. We went during a time that the city loaded a couple of tiny ponds with lots and lots of fish, so we spent much of our trip trying to catch fish! Sara wasn't feeling well, but she was a trooper and tried to catch fish too! A nice day to fish. Ryan is not much of a fisherman ; )…I get it. Learning the finer points of fishing. Aug 9, 2014. Mammoth 2014: Fish and Rain. Our Mammoth trip. I was a weird one this year…definitely a lot of family time. It rained the whole time we were there, and Sara got sick. We spent much of the time hanging out in the RV watching movies. When it wasn't raining, we would go to the small pond to catch fish. The mountain literally closed because of the rain.
