I won't bore you with the details (i.e., esophageal swallowing function, saliva production, etc.), but I would like to mention some facts on GERD and LPR. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Maybe all you Lipitor-takers are aware of this, but this was news to me. Patients taking many common medications should be weary of consuming grapefruit. Grapefruit (and grapefruit juice and grapefruit supplements) interact with these medications preventing (as I understand it) a liver enzyme from metabolizing the medication and thereby creating unsafe levels of the drug in the body. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Way Too Cool 50K 2011. Ran this last solo last year. Was such a pretty run, signed up again for 2011. Was lucky enough to get picked again. Running partner Rick was also selected, so we set about getting the time off from work and trying to get in a few miles before the March race day. Now, the training. Doubts started to fill my mind .
