Sunday, April 6, 2008. Well, I finally had the drainage (thoracentesis). The dr. drained 750 ml out of my lungs and there is probably 100 ml more in there! I have other things about this that I could definitely complain about, but won't. I will be talking w/ my Primary Care doc- who I hear from his colleague is not happy about the process during the past 2 days (and this was even before today's trauma). My nurses have been awesome. Saturday, April 5, 2008. Long Story, Short. My drainage procedure is postponed until tomorrow am I hear around 6, but could be later. It just took too long to get a few things done in prep (making sure my blood wasn't too thin, placing 2nd IV, and a couple of other fun activities). Monday, April 7, 2008. It Keeps on Coming. Continued moderate trouble breathing, especially more than there should be w/ a recent Thoracentesis. Difficult to get blood from any veins in my left arm. Right arm is off limits for 1 yr due to the reconstruction of my Superior Vena Cava (something about the lymph nodes removed in my mediastinal area (where SVC is) and my right arm not able to flush fluid through lymph nodes in arm efficiently- risk of swelling. Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Pee Moan E Ya. I hope all is well. It's nice that we are finally having some awesome weather. Clear and 60. Nice. I am hoping to walk in the nice weather someday soon.
