Dying to Self: November 2010
http://marymichelleard.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
While America celebrated Thanksgiving last Thursday with all the yummy foods and time with family, I went and checked out our mall here by myself and had KFC in the food court for my Thanksgiving meal. Ok, 2 things about that sentence that I still can't get over are: 1) the mall (ironically named "Mall Dova"! Is huge. It looks and feels exactly like an American mall. And 2) KFC? Needless to say, I felt right at home. I guess all those years roller skating at Skate Station USA paid off! One thing that I a...

Dying to Self: July 2011
http://marymichelleard.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
I Thought I Knew. Once upon a time, I was a worship leader in my church. Actually, it wasn't really that long ago but it feels like it was. Side note: I REALLY miss those days. Today, I found an old email that I wrote to the other people on the worship team and it was something that I really needed to read today. Maybe that is why it was saved in my email! I wonder why I feel like I have to keep "re-learning" lessons. From March 30, 2010:. How is your relationship with Christ? There is no possible way th...

Dying to Self: April 2010
http://marymichelleard.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Supremecy of Christ in Suffering. I follow a decent amount of blogs. I don't know most of the authors of the blogs that I read. But, God has used so many of these 'strangers' to speak truth and conviction into my life. Most of these people will never know how their vulnerability has personally affected me. Such is the case with Anne Jackson. A quick update about fund raising: I found out yesterday that my complete budget is half way raised! I was so blown away when I received the figures. Wow! It's M...

Jojo in the USA... at least for now: A few bumps in the road
http://jessjojosorrell.blogspot.com/2010/06/few-bumps-in-road.html
Jojo in the USA. at least for now. Thursday, June 17, 2010. A few bumps in the road. After writing this title I realize that this not only holds figurative meaning as we have come across a few obstacles since our research journeys began but it holds a quite literal meaning as it is a rare occasion to travel on a paved road while traveling in Peru. The majority of our trips are quite literally bumpy the entire way. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penet...

Jojo in the USA... at least for now: May 2010
http://jessjojosorrell.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Jojo in the USA. at least for now. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. One of my most earnest desires is to learn from Scripture and have a true passion for God's Word. So I pray this for myself. I would ask you also to pray that I would be grounded in the Word before all else. I wanted to share with you guys a goal that I made for myself in late February. The goal is to read at least one book per month for the rest of the year. Here are a couple of books I have read up to this point and wanted to tell you about:.

http://cmbergen.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Some other people I know also park at the VERY BACK of the parking lot! This was the perfect spot for Charlie because it was by a curb that he could hop up on so no one would ding his truck. Anna, checking out the menu. When we made it to Betty and Kyle's house we found Betty waiting outside for us. - -Thanks Betty! This mes...
