I also heard the "He is in a better place, at least he is not suffering" comment many times after my beloved nephew Jonathan died. My 20 year old, handsome, lovable, adored, happy, healthy and strong nephew just died suddenly in his sleep. He had not been living a miserable life of suffering! What was he like? Wednesday, October 22, 2014. There's Something Smelly in Paradise. Today marks one week since we moved into our new home in Paradise, CA. I am sitting on my bed, looking out the window where all I can see are trees. And I am grateful. It was only 4 months ago when my husband and I made the decision to sell our home in the San Francisco Bay Area and move to this mountain town. We had contemplated the idea of a big move for many years but we couldn't bring ourselves to make that leap. Big change is hard.
