Lost in the Caribbean. Sunday, September 1, 2013. Public Preaching and the Resort! Well another service year has come and gone. A lot has happened this year and we're looking forward to more good things coming. Finally the first non-catholic wedding was celebrated last week and guess which religious group it was? Jehovah's Witnesses. Here's the link if you want to read one of the articles that's on a Dominican newspapers webpage. It's in spanish though. :(. Heading to the bus stop.

Lost in the Caribbean. Saturday, May 11, 2013. A lot of people in La Romana work at a resort complex called Casa de Campo. It is a very high end, super nice resort. It's actually more like it's own little country, because you don't feel like you're in the DR anymore. The brother who we went with's father works there and we were able to get a tour of some parts of it. www.casadecampo.com.do. Right there's the website where you can see pictures of some of the places in the complex.

Etc At lunch-time when his stepdad asked the man if he wanted to work with someone else for the rest of the day the man said no because Basmat talked the whole morning about a lot of interesting things. Of course this is Lili looking as cute and inquisitive as ever. We had a bee problem between the tin and plywood in a part of our roof. Lost in the Caribbean. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Hall is done, now it's hot, hot, hot! The hall is finally finished and was dedicated last Sunday. We still can't believe how nice it is. It's one of the nicest looking Kingdom Halls I've seen here. Maybe we're just partial and can think about how it used to look. :) Here are some before and after pictures.
