My tolerance for high pitched screams has increased a thousandfold and my patience now rivals that of stone statues. I'm convinced my daughter swears at me in her baby speak simply because I lack the ability to read her mind and body. According to her, I should have known that she would need more hugs at exactly this second. Why am I not standing right there to provide the appropriate amount of hugs?

Afterwards, I'm given pain meds and told how long I'm supposed to take it easy. I'm also given instructions on how to take care of myself.
