Monday, March 12, 2012. Scott and Zac bird hunting, Frank steelhead fishing. Happy Monday, Everyone! Frank Smith who works and guides for LRO, had a successful steelhead outing this weekend. He found fish above Challis already. Once he gets the pictures his buddy took, we'll post a blog about his trip. Meanwhile, Scott and Zac are on the 7mile Ranch shooting birds with Tucker and Duncan. We'll have a report on that trip as well. If you would like to go on a steelhead trip with us, be sure to book soon!

Promise of a 50 degree day on Monday lured Cody and me away from the shop to venture north to the. Salmon in search of an early steelhead. On the drive over Galena, ice crystals on the snow shone like diamonds and the fog layer in the Stanley Basin flocked the trees like Christmas morning. The upper river had 3-4 feet of shore ice, but was flowing freely. It was a good fish day.
