Pants of War: What I really miss about wargaming
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2016/12/what-i-really-miss-about-wargaming.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Monday, 19 December 2016. What I really miss about wargaming. I went to my local club recently for the first time in over a year- just to drop off some minis to a friend. I didn't hang around but did say hi to everyone there. That short visit made me realise that other than the painting and the collecting and the playing of different games, what I miss most are my friends. It's too easy to take the friendship and the camaraderie for granted.

Pants of War: Onslaught Minis - 6mm SciFi Goodness
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2016/12/onslaught-minis-6mm-scifi-goodness.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Monday, 12 December 2016. Onslaught Minis - 6mm SciFi Goodness. I have seen some Onslaught minis. Before, but either I had totally forgotten about them, or in the last couple of years, they've expanded the ranges exponentially. They look utterly incredible. I am including the renders here for clarity of the sculpts, but the images of actual minis look fantastic as well. Previously my favourite 6mm scifi mini manufacturer was Plasmablast Games. All cont...

Pants of War: April 2015
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Sunday, 5 April 2015. Pictures of the Hadendowa. As promised a while back, here are some pictures of the Hadendowa I was commissioned to paint. I tried to upload these with the Blogger app on my new phone, but that didn't work very well, so now I'm on the PC. The photos are from the phone though. Please note that the spears, flags, and bases were not done by me. I do have some others I need to do though, so all going well, I'll press on with those soon.

Pants of War: Target Locked-On - Modern Air Combat Rules
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2016/12/target-locked-on-modern-air-combat-rules.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Sunday, 11 December 2016. Target Locked-On - Modern Air Combat Rules. A couple of years ago, I tried to buy a physical copy of Airwar C21 to play with a couple of folk at my local wargaming club, but got the run-around from the distributor/seller. Well, recently browsing I found a new game which looks along a similar style, but a bit more streamlined, called Target Locked-On. By Rory Crabb. It's available as a PDF from Wargames Vault. I also really lik...

Pants of War: November 2014
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Monday, 24 November 2014. Dave and I played some more Warmaster over the weekend, and a couple more games a few days ago. We were initially planning on switching to Hail Caesar, but decided to stick to Warmaster a little longer, and I think we're at the point where we're nailing all the niggly things, such as multiple combats, and the moving, pursuit, and fallback moves. One of the other great things we did was plonk a city right in the middle of the t...

Pants of War: Blogger Custom Domains vs HTTPS - a Techical AAR (After Action Rant)
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2016/12/blogger-custom-domains-vs-https.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Monday, 12 December 2016. Blogger Custom Domains vs HTTPS - a Techical AAR (After Action Rant). So now I'm seriously considering exporting this blog and hosting it myself because Google don't seem to have their pants on straight. So my choices are now:. Put up with a malfunctioning Blogger hosted page. Dump my custom domain in favour of the generic Blogger https. Dump Blogger and pay to host it myself. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). So far this ye...

Pants of War: March 2015
http://www.pantsofwar.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
In the grim darkness of my pants, there is only war. Monday, 9 March 2015. I've just logged into Blogger for the first time in a few weeks to see what's happening, and realised how long it's been since I posted. The 6MMRPC is over for me as this week marks the sixth month. While I spent most of it not painting, the time I did spend painting was very very productive, so I'd like to thank Chris. For setting it all up. And for DaveB. For setting up the 6MMRPC site. Another friend is giving me some spaceship...
