The Bolton Artisans Guild had the opportunity to display art at State Representative Kate Hogan's meeting room. This was just the inspiration that I needed to get back to my felting. I decided on making a wall hanging of the state house. Started with 5 layers of wool. Wet felted the layers. Needle felted the details. voila! Finished size 22" x 19".

Louie Girl Accents and Accessories specialize in wet and dry felted creations. 3D sculpted miniatures, custom wall hangings and pillows. Monday, June 30, 2014. Pet Cave - proof of concept. Having no live pets, I used a stuffed animal to try out the felted "pet cave" large enough for two cats or one small dog. This still needs a few more hours of felting to get it to the final stage. From 500 ft above sea level. Actually we're 560ft above sea level. Monday, July 27, 2009. Sunday - stayed cool indoors. Since I'm so sun sensitive and dealing with heat rash on my back , I primarily stayed indoors and worked on my elephant sculpture (see louiegirl fiberarts blog. I did take time to cut some of my "guaranteed to stay pink" hydrangea - yes they are purple (which I love). Posted by Laura Chu Burke. July 27, 2009 at 12:21 PM. July 29, 2009 at 6:30 PM. From 500 ft above sea level. Actually we're 560ft above sea level. Friday, August 7, 2009. You might lose some bottoms. If you triple the amount of blueberries in the scone recipe! I wanted to bake up some batches of scones to freeze for vacation and wanted to load them up with blueberries, so I put in 3x's what the recipe calls for and ooooops - some of the scones lost their bottoms! They aren't as pretty as they could be but they sure are yummy! And I wonder if they'll lose any of their bottoms! UPDATE...

From 500 ft above sea level. Actually we're 560ft above sea level. Thursday, April 1, 2010. I ended up having to make two types of eggrolls. One with my traditional ingredients of marinated pork, shrrimp, cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, eggs, etc. and a blander version for AJ and Alex with chicken, carrots, cabbage and scrambled egg. They were so yummy - I'll try to make some more this weekend (too bad I can't shape them to look like easter eggs). Posted by Laura Chu Burke. April 3, 2010 at 1:10 AM.

From 500 ft above sea level. Actually we're 560ft above sea level. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. David and I are trying to get some healthy walking back into our schedules. We were able to go on two nice walks. The first was 2.8 miles on Saturday. We waited for the snow to stop and headed out, only to get caught in a snow squall. We can see the end of our route! Ding and Dong - a welcoming sight. Ahhhhhh, time to rest our sore legs. Posted by Laura Chu Burke. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Comeback – Louie Giglio
It's not too late and you're never too far. EVERYBODY NEEDS A COMEBACK. We all know what it feels like to have life disappoint us and not work out as we’d hoped. We all know what it’s like to long for something different, something better, something more. The good news is that God is in the business of giving fresh starts to people. He gives hope to the hopeless. Direction to the directionless. Help to those who need help. God’s plans will always prevail, even when our plans don’t. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING.
