Saturday, 30 May 2015. We decided to take our annual holiday in the May Half Term this year, to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary. Which is actually today! Friday, 30 January 2015. This morning we woke up to a blanket of thick, white snow! Though we were all super excited, we were quickly put off about needing to get to school and work. Saturday, 29 March 2014. I love these easy flat breads, they make great sandwich alternatives and can be whipped up in no time. Take 250g of Strong Bread Flour (I used 2/3s white to 1/3 wholemeal) and mix with 7g yeast and 200ml warm water. Knead and then leave to prove for an hour. Divide into 6 balls, flatten and griddle. Done! I mix the dough whilst I am waiting for the kettle to boil first thing in the morning, leave to prove whilst I get washed and dressed, everyone fed etc. Links to this post.

Monday, 21 April 2014. My little Bee coordinated a trip to Lakeland. The week before my birthday to pick out some gifts for me. He had to get the little individual silicone loaf tins. So that I could make mini loaves of bread and mini lemon drizzle cakes. They make the cutest little loaves, as you can see! Sunday, 8 June 2014. Firstly let me apologise for the unintended hiatus! I have been a wee bit busy getting married, I think I can be forgiven! Today has been the perfect blend of relaxing and doing. A walk in the countryside followed by an afternoon in the kitchen cooking up a Sunday Roast. This week we went for a one pot, Mediterranean twist. Lemon and Thyme stuffed chicken. Rubbed with butter and drizzled with lemon juice. Copious amounts of sea salt and cracked black pepper. He Says She Waffles.

Sunday, 29 June 2014. He Says She Waffles. We found this adorable waffle house on our first trip to Cirencester in 2012. Louie had a case of the chicken pox which cut our trip short, otherwise I think we would have returned to the restaurant again! Last year, we didn't make it but this year we went out of our way to have lunch at this amazing eatery. With brilliant branding, it is laid back and very cool. But the waffles, oh the waffles. They are light and fluffy and in so many combinations!
